Doug went on to say that his young daughter “was a special child.” Plus, even at the age of two, she “had a positive impact on so many people she met.”
“We were lucky to be her parents and Olivia was lucky to have the best little sister.
According to the reporter, “They knew the prognosis was poor when she relapsed after the bone marrow transplant, so the whole family spent a special time in the hospital last week, but we held out hope for a remission because Hallie was brave, strong, and resilient. lived through her nine-month battle with acute myeloid leukemia and all its complications.”

However, despite Hallia’s bravery and bravery in the face of such disaster, by the time she began the trial treatment, her aggressive form of leukemia was out of control and post-transplant chemotherapy was ineffective.
Doug gave the doctors at Boston Children’s Hospital high marks for their efforts because they “did everything they could to help Hallie, and she beat AML every day for over nine months straight.” After her successful transplant in October, or even when she was first diagnosed in April, nothing could have prepared us for this moment.”
Hallie yelled “TADDDDYYY” at him and asked him to “take her for a walk around the hospital floor.” The heartbroken dad revealed that Hallie also “pats him sweetly on the back when I get her out of the crib”.

“Hal, my baby koala, my little bear Hallie, my Sour Patch Kid Me… she was destined to be the star of the dance class because she was so naturally sweet and cheerful (and she knew it). The hospital staff, nurses and doctors loved they speculated on what princess outfit each patient would be wearing that day (or hour).
Doug also hopes that those grieving the loss of his daughter take one lesson from her: “Know exactly what you want and keep asking for it, whether it’s a walk, a ride in the car, or wearing one particular Disney dress ( usually Cruella) Despite this, “the world is a worse place without Hallie,” she says.
