Fox News, the prominent and often polarizing news network, is experiencing another major departure as Geraldo Rivera, the longtime host of “The Five,” announced his impending departure.
Fox News may get another hit with a significant departure from “The Five.” Geraldo Rivera announced on Twitter that his final appearance on “The Five” will be in the coming weeks. The oft-chastised anchor may or may not be absent, but it shows Fox News’ uncertainty just weeks after parting ways with ratings powerhouse Tucker Carlson, which is releasing episodes of Tucker independently on Twitter.
According to Gerald Rivera’s Twitter message, “Good morning, it’s official, I’m leaving @TheFive.” Thursday and Friday, June 29th and 30th are my last scheduled appearances. It was a fantastic race and I am grateful for the opportunity. It’s not always easy being the odd man out. For now, I’m still a correspondent at large.”

In a recent interview with Fox News a few weeks ago, Geraldo Rivera talked about the “crisis that’s going on in cities like New York,” and Rivera recommended freebies like expedited work permits, skipping “red tape.” The assumption is that the free allowances will encourage more immigrants the crossing borders provoked an immediate reaction.
