This year, however, her sophisticated cemetery – complemented by tombstones, skeletons, and coffins – met the unexpected request of her neighbor. What happened shows how far little empathy and kindness can go when it matters most.

Halloween is coming and announces the season full of entertainment, fear, and a touch of secrets. It is time for scary decorations to appear everywhere and mark the beginning of scary festivities before the start of the holiday encouragement.

Just because Halloween is close, it doesn’t mean we can’t show a little odd kindness. After sharing in the video Tiktok One Halloween enthusiast, there was a viral response.

Salena Webb, a four-member mother from South Carolina, is a big Halloween fan. Like many, she celebrates her court decorating with various scary objects. For this year’s Salena display, the front yard has transformed the front yard into a full-fledged cemetery, complemented by ghosts, spider belts, witches tombstones, pumpkins, and skeletons carrying a coffin. It took a lot of time and effort to stand up. But when her neighbor asked her to take off some of the decorations, she agreed.

The neighbor approached Salena asking for some decorations to make things easier for his older father. In the video Tiktok Salena shared an interaction where the neighbor explained, “Hey, I know you are celebrating Halloween. My dad was just diagnosing lung cancer. He considers the decoration too scary. “He pointed to the coffin in the cemetery and kindly asked,” Would you mind removing only the coffin? “

@thatsnorthsense My family knows i loveeee Halloween and my decorations took me awhile to make and put up. I had just purshased the skeleton carrying the casket to go along with my graveyard to really set my halloween decor off this year🥴 I was a little sad at first but i thought about the bigger picture. Me removing my casket isnt hurting me at all but it may ease and bring my neighbor a little bit of peace as he adjusts to this news. Kindness is free and compassion goes a long way. Now what to replace it with🥴😩#Thatsnorthsense #dailyvlog #compassionforothers #halloween2023 #loveyourneighborasyourself ♬ Kindness Is Free! – Music with Michal

Salena immediately felt for him. She knew that her neighbor’s father often spent time in her garage that faced her yard, so she understood why it would be important to remove the coffin. “I didn’t want to remind him of what could happen if he had not given cancer,” the initiates explained. “I didn’t want to add more stress to my life.”

Salena decided to remove the coffin and replace it with badminton rockets for skeletons. She moved more scary decorations to the backyard. “At first I was a little sad,” she shared in her title Tiktok. “But then I realized that the removal of the coffin wouldn’t hurt me, but it could help my neighbor feel better in this difficult time.” Kindness is free and compassion goes a long way. ”

Salena gained praise for her sophisticated gesture. In her video, she asked her followers how they could handle the situation. While some said they would not take their decorations, many appreciated Salena for her kindness.

“Now that’s what a good neighbor is all about.” Kindness costs nothing. Thank you! “One user commented.

Salen’s neighbor also expressed his gratitude. After removing the coffin, she took the card and some balloons. Despite the language barrier, Salena could say that he was grateful and said to her, “You are good people.”

Salen’s story is a strong reminder that little actions of kindness can have a big difference in the lives of others.
