The Quietest Voice
Sometimes, the quietest people in the room leave the loudest impression. Two years ago, in a college classroom, a single act of silence revealed a truth that stunned both the teacher and the students — and taught everyone an unforgettable lesson about assumptions, empathy, and respect.
During my first semester, there was a girl in my class who never spoke. No matter the question or discussion, she remained utterly silent. In fact, I don’t recall ever hearing her make a sound.
One day, the teacher’s patience ran out. Frustrated, he snapped,
“Hey! Didn’t anyone teach you how to speak?”
