Expecting to become parents can be an incredibly exciting and nerve-wracking journey. Andrew and Lacey Jackson, already parents to two boys, Elliott, 7, and Devin, 4, were filled with eagerness and longing for the impending arrival of their daughter.
As the due date approached, their excitement grew with each passing day. They were counting down the moments until they could finally hold their bundle of joy in their arms. The prospect of adding a daughter to their family was a dream they cherished.
Their joy knew no bounds when little Natalie finally entered the world. Her parents’ hearts filled with excitement and relief when they heard her first screams. It was a moment Lacey, her mother, described as “breathtaking”. The first moments of meeting their newborn daughter were full of hope, dreams, and boundless love.
She looked beautiful, but I noticed a bruise on her and was afraid it was the result of whatever I had done to her while I was pregnant.
She noted: “The doctors said it was just a birthmark and she was breathing and healthy.”
Although Natalie was truly beautiful, Lacey and Andrew began to worry that people wouldn’t be able to see it because of the birthmark that covered a large portion of her face.
“I was afraid that people would see our precious little girl as just a birthmark and not the beautiful person I knew she would become as I cuddled her and fell in love with her,” she recalled. Lacey.
That’s when I decided we were going to love her unconditionally and give her all the confidence in the world to realize how beautiful she is and how capable she is of anything she puts her mind to.
Both brothers were interested in learning more about the object that hid their little sister’s face when they first met her. Then Andrew explained that Natalie is something unique and that the black spot on her face is her superhero mask. She would be able to do anything and because of that, she would achieve great things in the future.
Yes, there are definitely viewers who are complete strangers, but there are also those who think Natalie is amazing and distinctly different.
Her parents say they will always tell her it’s part of who she is and what she’s meant to be. She has a birthmark that makes her special and people will always remember how beautiful she is inside and out.
Lacey and Andrew were naturally concerned about their baby’s birthmark and took her to an ophthalmologist to make sure it wasn’t affecting her vision in any way. In addition, they visited a dermatologist and a skin specialist. The cute thing also had an MRI. Thank goodness everything looked good. Although the dermatologist assured them it was just a blemish and nothing to worry about, she has a number of health problems, including a slightly increased risk of melanoma.
Natalie’s parents want her to accept herself as she is.
Although her sign suggests that she will be robust no matter what life throws at her, we are aware that she will have some difficulties.
As Natalie embarks on her journey through life, she does so with the unwavering support of her family. They stand by her, ready to face any challenges that may come their way, knowing that Natalie’s spirit is as resilient as her superhero mask. They remind her that she is not defined by her birthmark, but by the love and courage that radiates from within.
As we share this heartwarming story, we are reminded of the power of love to overcome adversity, the strength that comes from accepting ourselves, and the beauty that lies in embracing our uniqueness. Natalie’s story is a testimony to the boundless love of parents and the extraordinary potential hidden in every child, whether it is a birthmark or not.
