Throughout his career, Treat Williams has graced the big and small screens with his talent.
Treat Williams, an actor best known for his role as Lenny Ross on the TV series Blue Bloods, died on June 12 in a horrific motorcycle accident.
He was airlifted to Albany Medical Center in New York, where he died suddenly, according to authorities. The actor was struck by a 2008 Honda SUV after the car’s driver allegedly failed to notice Williams as he turned left into a parking lot.
His death occurred this afternoon. In a statement to People, Williams’ agent of 15 years, Barry McPherson, said: “He was making a left or right [and] a motorist cut him off. “I am absolutely heartbroken. He was a really kind person. He had such a skill.
McPherson added: “He was an actor’s actor. Filmmakers adored him. He served as the center of Hollywood since the late 1970s. He was really happy with his achievements this year. He’s delighted with the work I got him.” His career was well-balanced.
His co-workers paid tribute to him and shared their grief at Williams’ unexpected passing.
Williams co-starred with Bridget Moynahan and Tom Selleck in a total of six episodes of Blue Bloods over the years. Selleck was a very close friend of Williams in real life.
It has been suggested that we all just pass the time and sit in our chairs for very short periods of time, Selleck added. “My friend Treat sat well in his chair and had a great name. He will be missed but never forgotten. Congratulations my friend.”
Moynahan spoke of her late co-worker as “an absolute delight” and “a role model off-screen”. Everyone could respect and admire his love and devotion to his family. Folks, we’ve lost a good one. Goodbye, enjoy.
Williams has starred in several films and television shows over the years, such as Mulholland Falls, 127 Hours, Prince of the City, Smooth Talk, and the film version of the Broadway classic Hair. He also had appearances in Chicago Fire and White Collar.
The entertainment industry and Williams’ fans are mourning the loss of a talented and beloved actor. His contributions to film and television will be remembered and his influence on those who had the pleasure of working with him will live on. May Treat Williams rest in peace and leave behind a legacy that will continue to inspire and entertain audiences for years to come.
