A moving look at a shared passion for aviation and a father’s determination to teach his son life lessons, this video shows an enduring bond that transcends tragedy.
After Garon Maia and his son Francisco were killed in a plane crash, a video recently surfaced of a father allowing his son to fly the plane. Although their chat is caught on camera, Ana Pridonik, Maia’s wife, could not cope with the loss.
* After a father and son were claimed to have died in a plane crash, a video has emerged of Garon Maia, 42, allowing his son Francisco, 11, to pilot their own plane. On July 29, 2023, the plane crashed into a rainforest in western Brazil.
According to sources, Maia planned to take his son and fly back to his mother in Campo Grande, Mato Grosso do Sul, so he took off from their property in Nova Conquista but stopped at the airport to refuel.
The private jet took off at 5:30 p.m. and was supposed to travel over a thousand miles, but crashed eight minutes after takeoff and reportedly disappeared from radar.
According to a farm worker, the jet crashed near a field that had been plowed, indicating that it did not have enough time to land. On July 30, 2023, first responders spent hours searching for the bodies of the father and son before finally finding them.
What was caught on film?
Although there is no evidence that Maia and Francisco’s video is related to the accident, it may have surfaced after their gruesome deaths. The video was not shot on the exact day the plane crashed and there is still no proof of it.
However, the video clip showed Maia demonstrating how to fly the plane to his son while he sat in the co-pilot’s seat. Before Francisco was ready to go, his father gave him a chance to make sure there were no obstacles.
“Wait, are we ready? Okay, nothing in front. 600 horses, you can push, come on. Go,” Maia said in the video: “600 Kiko.” From there he bade him go, saying, “Good lady.
Place your hand on the lever again. Maia said, “Hold that hand and see the speed.”
The 42-year-old was spotted taking it easy and drinking a beer as he thought his son had mastered the skill. “A passenger can have one right Kiko?” he asked his son.
A moving look at a shared passion for aviation and a father’s determination to teach his son life lessons, this video shows an enduring bond that transcends tragedy. Although not directly linked to the fatal crash, the video paints a picture of a father’s love, a mentor’s guidance, and a son’s desire to learn, forever captured in the intimate moments between the co-pilot’s seats.
As Ana Pridonik struggles with the immense pain of losing her husband and stepson, this video serves as a poignant reminder of the love and memories they shared. It is a tribute to Garon Maia’s desire to pass on wisdom and passion to his son, a desire that lives on in the hearts of those who knew him. In the midst of this heartbreak, remembering the bond between father and son can bring some comfort and remind us all of the fleeting beauty and lasting impact of love shared in the most unexpected moments.
