Tragic Milwaukee Case: Boy Found Wandering After Woman Killed in Alleyway

Milwaukee Tragedy: Young Boy Found Alone Hours Before Woman’s Death

A chilling scene unfolded in Milwaukee this week as a young boy, barefoot and alone, was discovered wandering the streets—just hours before authorities found a woman shot to death in a nearby alley. Investigators are now probing the connection between the child and the victim, raising urgent questions about the hours leading up to the tragedy.

Earlier this week, Milwaukee police encountered a boy believed to be 5 or 6 years old, alone and without shoes or socks in north Milwaukee. Officers noted the child appeared potentially non-verbal. Social media reports suggest he may be connected to the woman later found dead.

At approximately 9 a.m. on November 5, 31-year-old Anya Raymond was discovered shot in an alley roughly three miles from the location where the boy was found. Witness Rosetta Lampkin-Johnson told WISN she “took off running to call police” after finding the body, adding that she did not recognize Raymond and had heard no gunshots prior. Lampkin-Johnson speculated the victim may have been killed elsewhere and placed in the alley.

Authorities confirmed that the young boy was reunited with his family later that afternoon, shortly after 4 p.m. Police have not officially verified the nature of the boy’s relationship to the deceased.

Officials are urging anyone with information about the shooting to contact Milwaukee police at 414-935-7360, or remain anonymous through Crime Stoppers at 414-224-TIPS.

Conclusion

This tragic case underscores the vulnerability of children and the devastating impact of violent crime on families and communities. While investigators work to clarify the circumstances surrounding Anya Raymond’s death and the boy’s potential connection, the community is left facing the stark and unsettling reality of the situation. Authorities continue to seek tips to bring answers and justice in this ongoing investigation.
