Understanding the Disturbing Significance of a Rubber Band on Your Door Handle

The safety and security of our homes and loved ones is a basic priority in our lives. In our desire to create a sanctuary where we feel protected, the thought of potential threats or dangers in our homes can be unsettling.

Obviously, most of us prefer to avoid danger whenever possible, especially when it comes to our homes.

No matter how big or small, old or brand new, our homes have given us a special sense of security as long as humans have been civilized.

That’s why it scares us so much when we become victims of crimes like burglary. It gives me chills to think that a stranger broke into our house and had a free hand to touch or steal anything they wanted.

As I’m sure I’m not the only one, I thought it would be a good idea to pass along this vital warning about a strategy some criminals use to gain access to properties by preying on unsuspecting homeowners. Want to learn more? Go through oh.

Most people take their home security very seriously. Some people have dogs that they use as a protection and warning mechanism. Some people have installed security cameras outside their homes in hopes of deterring would-be burglars or, if they persist, recording them on video.

But as history has shown time and time again, thieves always try to stay one step ahead of preventative measures designed to thwart them.

Attention! Two weeks ago there was a loud, almost pounding on my door all day.

Kim Fleming Cernigliaro, a woman from Texas, found this out a few years ago when she was the target of an alleged burglary at her residence.

Kim took to Facebook to describe what happened after her terrifying experience, which happened in 2016 and issued a rather ominous warning that people should beware.

“Two weeks ago,” she wrote at the beginning of her post, “I answered my front door when I was alone. I don’t answer when someone knocks on my door. I honestly thought someone had happened and I needed help, but something wasn’t right ok then don’t waste your time!

“After a few knocks, they finally left. I looked through the stained glass on my door and saw it was a man. After about thirty minutes I went outside to check what I thought was a pamphlet, but what I discovered was rubber. “When I called him, Ron advised me to pull out the gun and leave it outside.”

Notably, according to sources, Kim almost fell victim to a scam where thieves broke into people’s homes.

Kim continued her post and said she spoke with the local sheriff who told her it was gaining momentum in the community.

“They don’t wait for you to turn a knob; they can barge in as soon as you unlock the door,” she continued. In any case, be careful; I used to be so trusting, but not now.’

Gentlemen! From now on, I will definitely change my mind about opening the door to uninvited visitors! To help us spread the word, please share this article.

Ensuring the safety of our homes and loved ones remains a primary concern for most of us. Our homes, regardless of size or age, have historically provided a sense of security. However, the threat of crimes such as burglary instills fear and images of strangers gaining access to our personal space and belongings.

While many take home security seriously, criminals often come up with new tactics to bypass preventative measures. Kim Fleming Cernigliaro’s chilling experience, shared on Facebook, sheds light on the disturbing strategy burglars use to break into homes. Her encounter with a rubber band strategically placed on her crank revealed a sinister ploy by would-be intruders.

This tactic involves placing a rubber band on the door handle, allowing the door to remain slightly ajar when unlocked, allowing for quick entry for intruders. Kim’s vigilance and caution prevented a potential burglary and underscored the importance of vigilance and caution even in seemingly innocuous situations.

Her warning serves as a critical reminder to reconsider opening doors to unexpected visitors and underscores the need to be aware of potential threats. By sharing this information, we help spread awareness and promote a safer environment for us and our communities. Be alert, prioritize safety measures, and be careful to protect yourself from potential risks to our homes and well-being.
