Little boy’s adorable gesture warms the cop’s heart Noah’s Aspiration to Work Police Officer Nine-year-old Noah observed a lone police officer sitting nearby while eating breakfast at Denny’s with his mother. Noah asked his mother for permission to go to Officer Eddie Benitez and introduce himself because he always wanted to work as a police officer when he grew up. When Noah approached Eddie, despite his mother’s approval, he found himself too scared to speak.

Noah decided to buy Eddie breakfast with some of the money he saved from his birthday. Noah’s mother Amanda approached the waiter and explained their strategy. After paying Eddie’s bill, Noah carefully wrote a note on the receipt. He approached the policeman while carrying the message.

At first, Eddie wondered why Noah had his receipt, but soon understood the boy’s motivation. Eddie was overcome with emotion as he read the touching words Noah had written. He jumped out of his chair and excitedly took a picture with his young fan.

Eddie works for the Lakeland Police Department, who thought the story was sweet and decided to post a picture of Noah and Eddie on Facebook.
