What you need to know about the Acer Chromebook 315 2022, in simple terms: it’s inexpensive, delivers standard performance, and has the minimalist feel of classic Chromebooks with an optional touchscreen display and improved stylus support.

It’s not the most impressive 2-in-1 on the market, but it has been well-received by critics, and many consumers are pleased with its value. If you’re looking for something uncomplicated that will allow you to get your daily computing tasks done at an affordable price, this might be right up your alley.

Introduction

In recent years, the cost of laptops has fallen while their performance has increased, and Acer’s Chromebook 315 series is a perfect example of this trend. The Acer Chromebook 315 2022 review will cover this laptop’s specifications, performance, and design features.

This slim laptop packs a punch with an Intel Pentium N4020 quad-core processor, 4GB RAM, and 64GB eMMC storage. The keyboard and touchpad are both responsive to your every tap or click, and it boasts up to 12 hours of battery life on a single charge.

The Acer Chromebook 315 2022 would be finished off with some specs like its 1920 x 1080 resolution screen that displays vibrant color, which makes it great for watching Netflix or YouTube. It has a beautiful aluminum finish with rounded corners and edge-to-edge glass.

Acer also offers 2 years of accidental coverage for US customers who purchase this product within 90 days of the purchase date. We highly recommend checking out the full Acer Chromebook 315 review before deciding whether to buy one!

Price & Availability

The Acer Chromebook 315 2022 retails for $369.99 and is available on Amazon. The device is currently only available in the US. The Acer Chrome 315 provides a lot of bang for your buck and is an excellent choice for anyone looking for a reliable, low-cost laptop that can handle all of their basic computing needs.

It’s not flashy, but it doesn’t need to be. It has what you need to get things done without any fuss or muss. Its battery life is nothing short of astounding and will provide hours of nonstop work time.

The touch screen works well with Windows apps such as Word, Excel, Outlook, and other office suites. And when I say nothing short, I mean nothing short at all–not even 10 minutes! You won’t find better performance at this price point anywhere else right now!

Design & Build Quality

The Acer Chromebook 315 2022 is a modest and mature 2-in-1, perfect for users who want a device that will do what they need without breaking the bank. The Acer Chromebook 315’s all-aluminum chassis has a minimalist design.

This image shows the Acer Chromebook 315 2022.

It’s not flashy or outlandish, yet it still manages to make an impression with its matte finish, which looks great in both business and casual settings. It’s very thin and light at only 0.7 inches and weighs just over four pounds, so it can easily fit into a purse or small bag without adding noticeable weight to your travel load.

In terms of ports and connections, there are three USB Type C ports (two on each side), two USB 3.1 Type C port that doubles as power port, two full-sized USB 3.0 ports, a microSD card slot, an audio jack for earphones or headphones, and an HDMI connection for external displays.

One downside to the Acer Chromebook 315’s design is that, unlike most Windows laptops, this Acer does not have an SD card slot. However, the Acer Chromebook 315’s performance more than makes up for this omission.

Display

The Acer Chromebook 315 2022 is a smaller and more modest 2-in-1 with a simple design and muted colors. It sports a large 15.6 Full HD Touch Screen display, which is clear and bright, with good colors and viewing angles. The screen has an aspect ratio of 16:9, which is standard for most tablets and laptops nowadays.

The display is crisp and clear, with a full HD resolution of 1920 x 1080p. It also has 10-point touch capabilities, which makes it easier to navigate with your fingers. This means you get an anti-glare screen that prevents glare from sunlight or other sources of light from causing spots on your screen, especially in outdoor conditions.

The display also has an HD resolution and offers wide viewing angles so that everyone can see what’s on your screen regardless of where they’re sitting or standing. And the last thing worth mentioning about this device’s display is the 360-degree hinges that allow you to use this device as either a laptop, tablet, or even tent mode. It’s impressive overall!

Keyboard and Trackpad

The keyboard and trackpad for the Acer Chromebook 315 2022 are very comfortable to use. The keyboard features a standard layout with good tactile feedback, and the keys are spaced out enough for easy typing. The trackpad is also large with plenty of space for my fingers to move around on it.

I was very impressed with how responsive and accurate these two peripherals are. The keyboard responded well to every keystroke, even if I typed a little faster than normal. The trackpad was just as quick to respond; it didn’t take me long at all to get used to using it for general navigation and pinch-to-zoom functionality in Chrome OS. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I like these two peripherals.

In my Acer Chromebook 315 2022, I concluded that they’re incredibly responsive and accurate — better than any other touchpads I’ve ever used on laptops. For example, if you try to scroll through a page with multiple finger swipes and you don’t lift your fingers completely off of it, Chrome OS will keep scrolling and scrolling until your finger does come off of it.

Both have fast response times that are unmatched by any other touchpad I’ve ever used. If you’re looking for an ultraportable laptop that has an excellent input experience without breaking the bank, then this Acer Chromebook 315 2022 is worth considering!

Specs & Performance

The Acer Chromebook 315 2022 is equipped with an Intel Celeron N4020 processor, 4GB of RAM, and 64GB of storage. The Celeron N4020 is a low-power mobile chip that runs at 2.4GHz and should provide enough power for basic usage such as browsing the web and watching videos.

The Acer Chromebook 315 2022 also notes that it does not have any ventilation holes to keep the device cool, so it can become very warm during heavy usage. This Acer Chromebook 315 2022 concludes that the Acer Chromebook is perfect for someone who is looking for a simple device for basic browsing tasks.

The Acer Chromebook 315 2022 comes with a 15.6-inch 1920 x 1080 resolution display, giving it a respectable pixel density of 141 pixels per inch. This is par for the course with other budget devices and while not great, it gets by well enough for extended reading sessions.

The Acer Chromebook 315 2022 also uses Google’s Material Design and Chrome OS, so it looks very modern and sleek and definitely stands out from more generic devices on offer today. And don’t forget about the battery life – Acer claims up to 12 hours of use from just one charge! Overall, if you’re looking for a cheap, portable 2-in-1 laptop that’s not going to break down after two weeks then this might be your best bet.

Software and Apps

The Acer Chromebook 315 has a backlit keyboard, which is great for typing in darker environments like movie theaters and classrooms. The pen input on the touchscreen is surprisingly well done, with pressure sensitivity that’s just as good as you would get on a tablet or phone running Android or iOS.

It also has ChromeOS software that’s very helpful in making sure you don’t get lost during your travels. In addition to a compass, global mapping, and currency conversion tools, you can use Google Translate on screen with ease. This is convenient if you’re looking at street signs or menus in another language.

It even works when you need it to. One issue I have noticed is that sometimes touch input acts up and doesn’t recognize your finger touches until after a few seconds of waiting. That said, this Acer Chromebook isn’t really meant for gaming anyways so there’s no reason to complain too much about this.

The battery life seems average on paper at 12 hours, but I found myself getting around 10 hours out of my own personal Acer Chromebook 315 2220 review unit. What makes this worse is that the charger takes 2 to 3 hours to fully charge a completely dead laptop, which means you’re stuck being tethered to an outlet if you plan on going long periods without access to power.

Touchscreen Acer Chromebooks will be a dream come true for anyone who wants to use their laptop more like a tablet. While we haven’t seen them come out yet, Android apps will likely play an important part in making touchscreen notebooks better than ever before.

Acer already offers some mobile apps on ChromeOS such as Adobe Lightroom Mobile and Duolingo. As mentioned earlier, these features are most prevalent in classrooms where students can use Acer Chromebook 315 2022 specs to do classwork or research projects from anywhere they want.

Audio & Webcam Quality

The Acer Chromebook 315’s audio quality is not the best I’ve heard, but it more than gets the job done. The speakers are loud enough to fill a room, while not being too tinny or harsh. They have a slight echo, which is common for laptops in this price range.

This means that if you’re watching movies or listening to music on your laptop at home with other people in the room, it’ll be difficult for them to hear what you’re playing without headphones. The quality of sound from these speakers is passable, but most users will be better off using headphones or a third-party USB audio device.

The Acer Chromebook 315 has a standard 3.5 mm headphone jack, allowing you to use any headphones you want without any dongles or adapters. This makes it easy for people to listen to music, movies, and other multimedia when others are nearby since you don’t have to deal with proprietary connectors or extra wires getting in your way.

The Acer Chromebook 315 2022 has a 720p webcam that doesn’t have the best quality. The video and sound are choppy, and it’s difficult to use this webcam for more than Skype conversations. For a laptop that costs $369, we weren’t expecting much from its webcam.

However, we thought it would be at least functional, if not good. This isn’t a deal breaker since most people rarely use their webcams for anything other than Skype calls or video chats. But if you need high-quality audio and video, this is not the webcam for you.

Battery Life & Charging

The Acer Chromebook 315 2022 has a battery life of up to 12 hours and can be charged in as little as two hours. The laptop also comes with fast charge capabilities, so you’ll never have to go without power again.

With up to 12 hours of battery life, plus fast charging capabilities, you’ll spend more time focusing on what matters most to you—whether that’s finishing your next report at work or creating a new painting for your friends back home. Acer’s advanced technology optimizes power management, which extends charge cycles and increases longevity.

With a durable construction and water resistance of up to 10 inches in falls of water, whether at home or in class, you can take comfort in knowing you have a reliable backup. Plus, it includes an impressive 4GB of RAM, offering the performance you need when switching between tasks.

Acer’s superior engineering results in efficient performance that enables seamless multitasking and video streaming. In addition to great performance and design, the Acer Chromebook 315 2202 has super long battery life. Enjoying uninterrupted use is easy with this sleek laptop. Plus it features Acer Active Stylus support to make note-taking and sketching even easier!

Is it worth your money? (Value, Price, and Features)

The Acer Chromebook 315 offers excellent value at an affordable price. Its build quality is solid with a backlit keyboard and glass trackpad, making it a great choice for students and working professionals looking for a budget laptop.

Don’t be fooled by its low price tag! Acer’s latest budget laptop, the Acer Chromebook 315 2022 (eMMC), is a slim and lightweight notebook that offers a full, productive computing experience. It is powered by a 12th Generation Intel Celeron N4020 dual-core processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB eMMC storage.

It comes with a 15.6 HD ‎1920 x 1080 pixels resolution display and packs in two USB 3.0 ports, one HDMI port, 802.11ac Wi-Fi, and Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity along with an integrated webcam for video sitting on the go! The Acer Chromebook 315 also features a spill-resistant keyboard for worry-free use outdoors or in your favorite coffee shop!

And don’t worry about battery life, this beauty can last up to 10 hours of continuous usage! With all these features, what’s not to like about Acer’s budget notebook? Well, for one thing, it’s performance. The dual-core Celeron N4020 processor is adequate for everyday computing activities and multitasking.

However, it isn’t nearly powerful enough to handle demanding applications or games. So if you’re looking for a laptop that can play high-end games or render 4K videos on a 15-inch display, you’d better look elsewhere!

On the other hand, if you need a reliable laptop to take notes during lectures or do some light browsing while waiting for your flight at the airport, then Acer Chromebook 315 2022 is worth considering. But we must warn you that there are several other laptops with more power and better specs available within the same price range so make sure to compare before deciding on one!

Final Verdict – Should you buy it?

The Acer Chromebook 315 2022 is a perfect device for anyone who needs a light, portable laptop. It’s not going to be the best at anything and it doesn’t cost the most either. But what it does do well is stay out of your way and let you get on with whatever you’re doing, whether that’s writing an essay or editing photos in Photoshop.

The Acer Chromebook 315 2022 has some really impressive specs for the price point. It only has 64GB storage, which isn’t great if you’re planning to install any big programs on it, but everything is saved in the cloud these days anyway. Performance-wise it’s nippy enough – even when running multiple tabs.

Battery life was good considering how compact this laptop is (about 12 hours). If you want something that will work as hard as you do without costing too much then this could be worth checking out.
