In an episode of The Best Podcast Ever With Raven & Miranda, co-host Raven-Symoné asked her about her s*xual orientation.
“I really wanted to stay up under the t*tties the whole time I was with you because I loved you so much. But also because you gave me lesbian vibes,” Raven acknowledged. “You give me lesbian vibes, you give me shame.”
Raven’s wife Miranda intervened and made a joke. “I believe Raven has a secret desire in this. I believe she wants everyone to be gay and that she sincerely hopes you come out as gay right now.”
“So if there’s anything you want to tell us, Whoops, you’re more than welcome,” she said, giving Whoopi the floor.

“But if you’re in a relationship, you have to do these things, and it took me a while to figure out that I didn’t want to,” she continued. “I would ask myself, ‘Why don’t I feel the way I should?'” I realized that one day I didn’t have to do that. I am under no obligation to comply. It is impossible for you to be married because everyone expects you to be.
Next, Symoné talked about Goldberg’s “duality,” or how he has both masculine and feminine qualities. She said, “There is something beautiful about a woman when she can embrace her masculine and feminine at the same time and wear it as well as you do.”
“It’s fantastic, you’re neither, you’re just a person living in your body and it’s not really about s*xual orientation or any of that,” she exclaimed, lashing out at Goldberg. It’s as warm as you come across. I just want to say how effectively you manage this dichotomy and give you credit for that.”
In response, Goldberg stated, “God created us in duality” and that “God doesn’t make mistakes.”
The actress said: “You know when people say, ‘Oh, you know, it’s this or that,’ it’s not this or that: it just is.”
The actress also commented on her s*xual orientation in the interview: “I’m not a lesbian, but I know a lot of them and I’ve played them on TV. Because lesbians are just my friends, I’ve had them as long as I have.”
