Fans of the dance with stars were outraged after one contestant made a bland cha-cha while he had a cheater on her right ankle. Although it might have looked like just other flashy accessories, the ankle carried a deeper and more controversial meaning.

Ezra Sosa is a challenging debut DWTS
Season 33 called Ezra SOSU for the first time as a professional dancer at DWTS and had quite a challenge ahead.

Sorokin became infamous after her sophisticated fraud inspired Netflix’s hit miniseries Inventing Anna, with Julia Garner brilliantly depicting her on the screen.
In 2019, she was found guilty of several charges of largelarcenyn and sentenced to prison. After serving the time, it was released in 2021 for good behavior just to be retained for violating her visa. Now, in house arrest, the ankle monitor wears to fight deportation to Germany, where he currently lives.

During the episode, she openly addressed her unusual ankle accessories and laughed as she explained, “I crossed my visa because I was in prison, so it’s a little hard to leave.”
She remained defiant about her past and added, “I served my sentence. I have reappeared and now I will be a dancer in the hall. ”
The judges, although surprised, appreciated her efforts.
“I’m a little lost for words,” Derek Hung admitted. “You have the potential to be a beautiful dancer.” I didn’t expect that. ”

But DWTS viewers were not so kind.
While many criticized her “robotic” movements and “miserable” facial expressions, others were frantically her presence on the show – especially with an ankle monitor on full display.

She took the third to the title Sorokin and sarcastically published: “Fashionista and Entrepreneur?” No … just a criminal. ”
Meanwhile, the fan on the Facebook page of the show said: “We will not get rid of the ankle bracelet. I’m disgusted. ”
