Krystal’s story reminds us all that life is precious and we must cherish every moment we spend with our loved ones. It is a call to love fiercely, laugh wholeheartedly, and create lasting memories that will forever warm the hearts of those we leave behind.
Ten days after giving birth, the new mother tragically died of an illness she contracted while working at the post office with her husband.
Just 10 days earlier, Krystal Pitt (24) gave birth to her second child, a son named Toby. She and her husband Brayden Yates were running errands when they decided to see their new baby in the neonatal intensive care unit of Perth Children’s Hospital in Australia.
Pitt informed Yates that she had chest pains while they were standing in line at the Noranda Post Office, which made him realize that she was probably having a heart attack.
“I had her sit down and then pretty quickly she had a heart attack,” Yates told The West Australian.
Yates called 911, started CPR on his wife, and then set up a defibrillator in an attempt to revive Pitt before paramedics arrived.
Pitt was rushed to the hospital, where she was placed in an induced coma despite doctors’ initial optimism about her prognosis for recovery.
Pitt, who apparently had a pre-existing blood problem, had a tragically rapid decline in health. She reportedly died on Saturday due to blood clots that formed in her lungs and caused cardiac arrest.
The infant, who was born four weeks early and was named Toby by his parents, is still in the hospital, but Yates said his child is doing well and hopes to be allowed to leave the hospital and return soon. to his father’s house.
Aurora, the couple’s 14-month-old daughter, is also their only child.
Yates expressed hope that Pitt’s story can serve as a reminder for people to “cherish every moment” with their loved ones.
“The crazy thing is that the day before we were talking about how life is important and that you never know when your last day will be,” he admitted. You must strive to live life to the fullest.
Although Aurora and Toby are too young to have their own memories of their mother, Yates has promised to let them know what an “amazing and caring” woman their mother was.
I can always share them with her because I have a lot of movies and pictures she took, especially during my daughter’s first year, he said.
Yates’ mother has set up a GoFundMe to help him and his two children through this difficult time, and it has already raised almost AUD$16,000, surpassing its AUD$10,000 goal.
According to the fundraiser, “all contributions made will go towards helping Brayden and the children with their mum’s service and the ongoing costs of raising the children.”
“I just want to express my gratitude to everyone for their continued support during this difficult time,” they continued.
After having her first child, Yates claimed that Pitt was a “natural mother” who enjoyed interacting with other mothers and sharing parenting advice.
Our thoughts are with Krystal Pitt’s family, friends, and loved ones during this tragic time.
In the face of adversity, Brayden stands as a beacon of strength and resilience. His determination to provide the best life for his children and to keep Krystal’s memory alive is a testament to the power of love and the enduring bonds of family.
As the days pass and the pain begins to subside, Brayden and his children will continue to find comfort in the memories he and Krystal shared and the knowledge that her love will surround them forever. The legacy he leaves behind is one of love, courage, and a reminder to embrace life’s fleeting moments with gratitude and joy.
