In the grand tapestry of life, few things bring as much joy and anticipation as the arrival of a child. For Maxine and Jake Young, welcoming children into their lives wasn’t just a dream; it was a deep-seated desire that they both held close to their hearts. Little did they know that their journey to parenthood would be one filled with unexpected twists, challenges, and ultimately an abundance of love.
Maxine and Jake, a loving couple from Pennsylvania, started their journey as husband and wife in May 2016. From the very beginning, they shared a dream of building a big, loving family. Their hearts were open not only to the idea of having biological children but also to the possibility of adoption, a testament to their compassionate nature and desire to provide a home for children in need.

Jacob’s mother, Arlette Young, writes on the GoFundMe page she set up to try to raise money for her son’s family: “Jacob was completely on board and loved the idea of having a house full of love and laughter, maybe a little. chaos too!”
Maxine and Jake Young began their foster care training in February 2017 after only a few months of marriage. They received the necessary training and in June 2017 were given permission to start internships.
Four children required a family.
A month later, the couple was informed of the need for a home for a sibling group of three children aged 4, 2, and 11 months. And a few weeks later, they went to the hospital to pick up their newborn sister.

It wasn’t easy. Every child is unique and has specific needs. Jacob’s mother posted on GoFundMe that the new parents had to deal with an autism diagnosis, a lot of trauma to get over it, and other difficulties.
Although it was not easy, Maxime and Jacob did not give up on the idea of having biological children at the same time. As a result of Maxine’s numerous miscarriages and artificial pregnancies, IVF and IUI were necessary.
After much adversity, they were rewarded with the birth of their son Henry in October 2018.

Then the family end, or not?
After the adoption was finalized, Maxine noticed some changes in her body a few weeks later. She waited one more time!
We had to use IVF or IUI to get pregnant with our child, so it never occurred to me that I could get pregnant naturally. Maxine told the Daily Mail: “I remember emailing [my husband] and I was like, ‘Oh my God.
The couple was ecstatic and pleasantly excited, but little did they know that the biggest surprise was yet to come.

“I saw the doctor have a shocked look on her face as soon as the scan started. When you looked at the screen, it was extremely obvious that there were three gestational sacs, all almost the same size, as well as yolk sacs and even fetal poles. When she snapped my attention, she exclaimed, “Wow, it looks like there are three babies growing!” At first, I laughed erratically, but then I lost all sense of humor. I asked her if everything seemed normal and if the babies measured exactly in 6 weeks, they were. I had another scan the following week,” writes Maxine on Instagram.

They learned that they were expecting quadruplets.
At 32 weeks pregnant and with 4 beautiful babies weighing three to four pounds each, Maxine gave birth to her fourth child on July 31st. They mentioned Beck Killian, Cecilia Hudson, Theo Alexander, and Silas Ledger.

Meeting the babies was an unforgettable experience. The pain and worries of the previous months were instantly forgotten and at that moment everything we had to endure was worth it, writes Maxine on Facebook.
Maxine exclaims with joy, “Luckily they are all doing well and we are grateful for that.”
