Another photograph showed an elderly man teaching a child to tie a fishing lure by a river.

“These are beautiful,” I said.

“Tell me why.”

The question caught me.

I examined the first image again.

“Because you noticed people waiting together, but each one looks alone.

It makes me wonder what they’re thinking.”
