That’s the thing I can’t get past.

Not that you saw it.

Not that you believed it for an hour, or a day — I’d have forgiven that, I’d have forgiven a week.

What I can’t get past is that you sent me a photograph and told me not to insult you by explaining, and then you didn’t answer the phone eleven times, and then you changed your number.

Six years, and you did not ask me one question.
