Inside the house, Marissa was organizing snacks across the kitchen island. She hugged me with one arm while still typing on her phone. “Did you bring Mia’s pink swimsuit?”
“It’s in the front pocket.”
“Good. Natalie wants them to match.” Mia did not have a matching swimsuit. I assumed Marissa had bought one.
“Are you staying for lunch?” she asked.
“We need to get back on the road.”
Jason wandered in from outside. “Big corporate trip?”
