He nodded as if he had not heard me. “Dallas has great steakhouses.”
Andrew carried Mia’s luggage upstairs. I followed. The room held two twin beds and a sleeping bag spread across the floor. “Which one is hers?” I asked my mother.
She gestured toward the sleeping bag. “The cousins wanted the beds.”
I stared at the carpet. “Mia is the guest.”
“They’re all family.”
