Forty-Eight Hours
In an office off the hallway, a folder containing a copy of the trust instrument, a memorandum from a lawyer in Dallas about probate procedure for a deceased minor beneficiary, and a copy of a life policy.
And in the basement, behind a section of shelving, a windowless room of about nine feet by eleven with a door that locks from the corridor side.
I am going to give that room two sentences and then move on, because that is all it needs and because I have had it described to me at length twice and I would not do that to anybody.
It had a cot in it, and a lamp, and a chair.
