Episode 1.  SHE FOLLOWED HIM

Rain hammered against the windshield as I sat across the street from one of the city’s most luxurious hotels.

 

For nearly twenty minutes, I had been trying to convince myself that I was being paranoid. Daniel had told me he would be working late. I trusted my husband. Or at least, I thought I did. Then a taxi pulled up beneath the hotel entrance.

And my world changed. Daniel stepped out wearing the same charcoal suit he had left home in earlier that evening. He glanced around nervously before doing something I never imagined I would see.

He removed his wedding ring. My breath caught in my throat. Without hesitation, he slipped the ring into his pocket and entered the hotel.

Why would a married man do that? My heart pounding, I climbed out of my car and followed him inside. Keeping my distance, I watched him approach the reception desk. The employee handed him a key card. I managed to read the room number.

Room 407.

Trying not to be seen, I watched him enter the elevator. But when the doors opened upstairs, someone was already waiting for him.
