The capstone areas of these perimeter pillars are at a height that a person could stand beside comfortably, though the shafts extend higher above the bench level.

At the center of each enclosure, two larger pillars stand facing each other, typically oriented toward the north and south or toward the center of the enclosure, with sufficient space between them for a person to stand or pass.

Enclosure D is the largest of the excavated enclosures.

Its central pillars, designated Pillars 18 and 31, are among the largest known from the site.

Estimates of their height vary depending on whether intact portions or overall original dimensions are being measured, but the tallest reach approximately 5.5 meters from their lower ends to the top of the T-bar, with significant portions of some pillars originally set below floor level in stone sockets.
