Rebecca stepped out first — white linen dress, gold sandals, designer sunglasses covering half her face, blonde hair pinned to look effortless, though I knew it took the better part of an hour.
Trent climbed out in pressed slacks and loafers. Madison followed, now sixteen, taller than her mother, with the same sharp eyes and expensive impatience.
Cooper climbed out last, shoulders hunched over his phone.
