Part Thirty-Three: What It Was Worth
I took that notebook to Noreen Schatzberg on the ninth of January in a plastic sleeve, the way you carry something you have decided is a bomb.
And she read it for about twenty minutes and then handed it back and said: “This is worth almost nothing.”
I want to put her explanation in, because it is the most useful thing anybody told me in four months and because it is the opposite of what everybody assumes.
