The story of Roraima is not finished.

It is, in the most literal geological sense, still being written — by erosion working on ancient rock, by evolution working on isolated populations, by the rain that falls daily on the summit plateau.

New species are still being found and named from summit surveys.

New genetic analysis is still revealing the evolutionary relationships between tepui species and their lowland relatives.

New geological research is still refining the understanding of when and how the Roraima Supergroup was deposited, how it has been modified over two billion years, and how the current landscape took its current form.
