So she said it. All of it, the way it’s written above, and it took about eleven minutes, and I sat in a car and listened to my fifteen-year-old daughter describe being recognised in a supermarket at thirteen and being told she was brave for having sat on some stairs.
When she finished she said, “I don’t want it taken down.”
That surprised me so much I turned in my seat. “What?”
