There is one more thing I have started saying, and it is the part that gets the most argument in a room full of police officers, so I will put it here too.

Somebody always says: but if we don’t hand kids back, we’ll be taking children off innocent parents every week.

And the answer is that we already do the opposite every week, and nobody counts it, because there is no form for the child you handed back.

There is a form for everything else.

There is a form if I use force.

There is a form if I damage a door.
