Her married name was on her lease, her website, her invoices, her business cards, her van.

She had changed everything in October and had to change it all back in January, and she paid for that twice, and she has told me that the rebranding cost her somewhere north of nine thousand dollars and about six weeks of evenings.

She laid off one of her four people in April.

His name is Toby and she rehired him in the following February and she says that April is the worst thing in the whole business and that she does not include the wedding in that.

And then two things happened that she did not engineer.

The first is that one of the two hospital foundations, whose director had heard the story from somebody, called her and doubled the size of their contract, and said nothing about why, and has never mentioned it since.
