At the meeting, Anderson says, he was shown a glass case containing what appeared to be a skull.

But Anderson concluded that the skull he was shown was not the same one depicted in the photograph he had brought — specifically, he said the skull looked like that of a child, not an adult.

The Skull and Bones representatives, by Anderson’s account, urged him to sign a statement acknowledging that the organization did not possess Geronimo’s remains.

Anderson refused.

He says he was also asked to return the photograph, and that when he declined, Skull and Bones threatened legal action.
