Among the most distinctive visual markers of the Sea Peoples in Egyptian art is the feathered headdress — the tall, distinctive headgear shown on warriors in the Medinet Habu reliefs and in other Egyptian depictions of their northern enemies.
The feathered headdress has attracted considerable scholarly attention because it does not obviously correspond to any headgear known from the Aegean or Anatolian Bronze Age.
It is not found in Mycenaean art.
