It made sense.

Nathan wanted the trust; Nathan was reaching for my money; Nathan was the obvious hand in the till.

But the deeper I read, the less the architecture looked like Nathan’s.

Nathan was greedy, but he was not subtle; he wanted things and grabbed at them.

What I was seeing in those statements was subtle — patient, layered, built over years by someone with real expertise and real access, someone who understood trusts and offshore structures the way I understood them, from the inside.

Nathan was trying to steal a chunk of my estate with a forged power of attorney and a story about my nerves.
