I was looking for a new laptop and found the HP Envy 16 2022 that had everything I wanted in a laptop. The size is perfect, it has great specs, and it looks amazing! 

The battery life is so good and the weight is perfect. This HP Envy 16 computer is just right for my needs. It has all of the features that I need without being too expensive. I am so glad I found this laptop! 

It does everything I want it to do and is even better than what I expected. The screen is beautiful and the resolution is perfect. There are also plenty of USB ports on this HP Envy 16 2022, which means you can use more than one device at once without any issues. 

My only problem with this HP laptop is that there are no HDMI ports which would make connecting to a TV or monitor very easy to do if needed but overall it’s an awesome product! If you’re looking for a good all-around laptop, this HP Envy 16 2022 should be your go-to choice!

Price

The HP Envy 16 2022 is only $1399 at HP. The HP Envy line is aimed at a younger, more tech-savvy audience, but the specs are great for people of any age. The laptop has a beautiful 2000p IPS screen and a webcam that is also 5MP. 

It’s not as good as its competitors in some areas, but it’s an excellent all-around laptop with almost no drawbacks. The HP Envy 16 is targeted toward a younger, more technologically savvy crowd and boasts impressive specs, making it perfect for anyone of any age. If you’re looking to get the best bang for your buck, this is a great choice! 

Design & Build Quality

The HP Envy 16 is a well-built laptop with a sleek and professional-looking design. Plus, the HP Envy 16 only weighs 5.12 pounds which makes it easier to carry around if needed. The keyboard is responsive and comfortable to use, as is the touchpad and pointing stick. 

The trackpad also has a nice texture on it which makes it feel more natural to use. It’s unfortunate that there isn’t an option for backlit keys, but that’s not too big of an issue. I’ve been using this for about 1 week now and have yet to experience any problems or issues that would make me want to stop using it! 

There is only one USB 3.0 port on the right side of the laptop, so if you’re someone who likes having multiple ports, then you’ll need to get some dongles for your peripherals. However, all in all, I am very happy with my purchase and will continue using it daily until anything goes wrong. 

The HP Envy 16 is slim, sleek, and professional looking without being flashy. I haven’t had any quality issues or problems during my first week of usage, and I don’t foresee myself needing to change laptops anytime soon.

Display Quality

HP’s new Envy laptop has a great design, with a sleek, modern look. The screen is nice and large, and the resolution is fantastic. It also has the very good sound quality for watching movies or listening to music. It handles multitasking fairly well, but it does get a little slow if you have too many apps open at once. 

The HP Envy 16 features a 16-inch large and beautiful display. The screen’s 2560 x 1600p 120Hz resolution is sharp and clear, making it ideal for watching movies and playing games. It also has good sound quality, so you can watch TV or listen to music without having to use headphones or external speakers. 

You don’t have to worry about viewing angles on the screen either—the colors stay accurate at almost any angle!  The HP Envy 16 has a gorgeous and high-quality display that makes gaming or watching TV easier than ever before. Along with its aluminum case, this display looks very attractive. 

Though not as bright as other screens, this HP Envy 16 laptop offers rich colors in its Full HD 3,840 x 2,400 OLED screen. Viewing angles are excellent and there is no glare when outside.

Keyboard, Touchpad & TrackPoint

The keyboard on the HP Envy 16 2022 is one of the best keyboards I’ve ever typed on. The keys are spaced evenly and have a good amount of resistance, plus they’re backlit so you can type in low light or complete darkness. 

The trackpad is also great, with smooth scrolling. I also love the way it handles two-finger swiping to move between apps or tabs. My favorite feature by far is the touchpoint which allows me to scroll through pages and documents without touching the screen. 

It’s very accurate, responsive, and easy to use. Plus, the HP Envy 16 features a full-size number pad for those who do any sort of number crunching. It’s responsive, easy to use, and does a great job of separating each key for an even typing experience. 

The touchpad and TrackPoint are also super intuitive and make interacting with your laptop a very smooth experience. Even with large hands like mine, I was able to type without issue thanks to just how comfortable it is to use this keyboard! 

It doesn’t take up much room on my desk either, which is always a nice change from some of the bulkier laptops that feel like more of a hassle to put away when you’re done working. So all in all, the HP Envy 16 2022 has proven to be a high-quality machine with an equally great experience.

The HP Envy 16 is a solid laptop, with a screen size of 16 inches and a resolution of 3,840 x 2,400 pixels. The model comes with 16GB DDR5 of RAM and a 1 TB PCIe® NVMe™ TLC M.2 SSD. It has an Intel Core i9-12900H processor and an NVIDIA® GeForce RTX™ 3060 graphics card. 

This laptop has a weight of 5 pounds, which makes it lighter than many laptops on the market today. However, if you are looking for a lightweight laptop, this might not be the best choice for you. 

In addition to having great performance specs, this HP Envy 16 also has excellent connectivity options such as Bluetooth 5.2 and Wi-Fi 6E AX211 with MU-MIMO support! The HP Envy 16 is a premium quality laptop that delivers high-end performance while remaining affordable.

Ports, Speakers, and Webcam

The HP Envy 16 offers a great set of features at an affordable price. The laptop has impressive speakers, a webcam, and ports to connect your devices. It also comes with Windows 11 Home installed, which is a plus for those who are looking for a laptop that is ready to use right out of the box. 

One of its better features is its integrated sound system, which allows you to listen to your favorite music from a variety of sources. The device’s speakers are very crisp, clear, and well-defined for such a small speaker. It also comes with two jacks for audio output – and 2.1 HDMI port and a 3.5 mm jack. 

This makes it easy to connect other devices that you might have like an iPod or even gaming controllers or accessories like headsets or speakers. The sound system is also loud enough to hear from a good distance away from it. 

And there are plenty of ports too, including HDMI and VGA connectors. There’s no DVD player built-in but that didn’t bother me as most people don’t need DVDs anymore. Overall, this is a solid all-around laptop at an affordable price – highly recommended! 

The webcam is nothing to boast about. It takes grainy and distorted videos and images, which can be a bit of a problem if you want to make use of its video chatting feature. 

However, this flaw doesn’t stop the HP Envy 16 from being a fantastic all-around laptop. If you are in need of a reliable computer that works well for both home and work tasks, then the HP Envy 16 should be on your radar. 

Premium Value 

The HP ENVY 16 2022 is a great laptop. It has a top-of-the-line processor and graphics card, which means it will be able to handle anything you throw at it. 

It also has an excellent battery life that can last up to 9 hours on a single charge. The only downside is that it lacks an optical drive, but this isn’t too big of a deal because most people just use their computers to surf the internet anyways.

Battery Life & Charging

The battery life on the HP Envy 16 is good for a laptop this size. It’s capable of getting about 9 hours of battery life with average usage, which is enough to get you through an entire day without recharging. The laptop will take around 1 hour to fully recharge.

 The laptop has a 6-cell, 83 Wh Li-ion polymer battery, and it’s rated to last up to 9 hours on a single charge. It actually did slightly better than that in my testing, as I was able to get 9 hours and 15 minutes of usage with an average screen brightness setting. 

That was achieved by loading it down with streaming video, music playback, web browsing, and some light word processing. With less intense tasks, I think most people could eke out closer to 11 or 12 hours of battery life.

In addition to the included 200W AC adapter and charging cable, HP includes a power cord with its own international adapters so you can use your laptop while traveling overseas. For those who like to work away from an outlet, HP also offers an optional Mobile Extended Life Battery Kit. 

To get even more mileage out of the HP Envy 16, HP sells a Mobile Extended Life Battery Kit that attaches to the bottom of the laptop via a sturdy latch and adds five hours of additional battery life. Overall, the HP Envy 16’s battery life is quite respectable when compared to other laptops in its class. 

Overall Verdict – Should you buy it?

The HP Envy 16 is a great laptop for the price. It has a really nice design, especially for the keyboard and touchpad. The battery life is decent and it seems to be able to handle anything you throw at it. Overall, this laptop is a great buy if you want something that looks and feels premium but won’t break your budget. 

The HP Envy 16 2022 comes in as our second-best pick, with only the Lenovo Yoga 9i 2022 being better. The HP Envy 16’s strong points include its speedy processor and long-lasting battery, making it perfect for those who travel or need to work while they’re on the go. 

The HP Envy 16 also features one of the best keyboards we’ve tested on a laptop this year. The keys are sturdy and responsive, providing one of the best typing experiences we’ve seen so far on a Windows 11 machine. For many people, there is nothing more important than performance.
