It seems like only yesterday that Apple unveiled the brand new iPhone 8 Plus, which quickly became one of the best-selling phones in history. Now, as the anniversary of that phone’s debut approaches, we have the chance to see what Apple has in store for us next with the iPhone 14 Plus.

This new smartphone comes with plenty of upgrades and new features that make it an even more powerful option than its predecessor. Here’s what you need to know about this stunning smartphone and why it may be your best bet when it comes to purchasing your next phone!

Introduction

After spending the past week with the Apple iPhone 14 Plus, I’ve finally come to a conclusion on whether or not it’s worth it. And after doing my research, I can confirm that this is one of the best smartphones on the market in 2022.

The entire phone is a marvel of engineering, but you really can’t appreciate what this phone does until you actually use it for yourself. The new Apple iPhone 14 Plus has more power than ever before. But there are some sacrifices that had to be made for the sake of size.

You’re going to be stuck with only 512GB storage even if you buy an Apple iPhone 14 Plus, which may seem like a lot but trust me when I say there are no cloud services available at launch.

His battery life also suffers as a result of size constraints and so do all those other things we take for granted every day. All-in-all, if you want an amazing smartphone then this is without question your top choice!

Price & Configurations

The phone has three different storage models that are priced at $799, $899, and $1099 for the low end, medium end, and high end respectively. All versions include 6GB of RAM with either 128/256 or 512GB of memory to store all your apps, games, photos, videos, etc.

This phone does come at a hefty price, but it is well worth it. This phone is water resistant, scratch proof has one of if not THE best cameras on any smartphone in its class, and contains a large amount of memory to keep all your apps & games from cluttering up your phone.

Though the iPhone 14 Plus comes at a hefty price tag, we think it’s worth every penny. Not only does it have an amazing camera, but there is plenty of memory to house all your apps and games, plus you’ll never have to worry about dropping it in the pool again because it’s waterproof! You’ll be paying for quality that you can feel.

Quick Specs

With a 6.7 display and 5nm A15 Bionic chip, the iPhone 14 Plus is every bit as powerful as you’d expect. What’s even more impressive is the dual-sim capabilities which are a new feature of iPhones that allow you to have multiple phone lines on one device.

And with the added 512GB storage option, means you’ll never need to worry about running out of space. What I really like about the iPhone 14 Plus is that Apple seems to have fixed the quality control issues of their past phones. It is incredibly sturdy, durable, and feels so sleek without any visible bulkiness.

In addition, iOS 16 runs seamlessly on this device, and with features like Screen Time and Siri Shortcuts, there are plenty of tools at your disposal to help you stay productive throughout your day. The iPhone 14 Plus shows us that this is an excellent smartphone for those who want something sleek but powerful enough for heavy users.

Design & Build Quality

Apple’s iPhone 14 Plus is a beautiful device. There are two glossy pieces on the back, one near the camera and another near the Apple logo. These two areas tend to show fingerprints or other smudges easily.

Even though these areas are glossy, they still felt rather slippery in my hand but only if I gripped it tightly; otherwise, they’re much more comfortable to hold. The fingerprint sensor has been moved from the home button to beneath the power button and it was easy to find by touch.

The power button is positioned slightly off-center on the right side of the phone so that there’s space for your fingers when you hold it with your left hand. The buttons along the edges of the iPhone 14 Plus are responsive, yet clicky enough so that you can tell what you’re pressing without looking at them.

iPhone 14 Plus also comes with IP68 water resistance and dust protection which means that it will survive accidental spills and light rain.

One thing I noticed about iPhone 14 Plus is how thin it feels because of its slim bezels around the screen – about 15% slimmer than iPhone 8 Plus. Overall, iPhone 14 plus feels like an incredibly premium device – every detail was meticulously planned out from start to finish.

Display Quality

One of the new features of the iPhone 14 Plus is its display experience. It comes with a 6.7-inch OLED display, a True Tone chip, and dual speakers that produce rich stereo sound. It also has an advanced Retina HD+ display with rich color saturation.

The resolution is excellent as well, topping off at 1284 x 2778p which makes it razor sharp even though it’s bigger than most screens on smartphones today. The size may be daunting for some people but this would make for a perfect device to watch movies or TV shows on.

The screen is big enough to make all those details in videos easy to see without straining your eyes from zooming in and out all the time like when watching videos on your phone.

So if you’re looking for a phone with the best possible video viewing experience then the iPhone 14 Plus could be just what you need. It also comes with adaptive brightness so colors are always crisp and vibrant no matter what lighting conditions you’re in.

For example, there’s an option for auto-brightness adjustment where the brightness changes depending on how much light there is around you. For something that packs so many features into one smartphone, it still manages to stay fairly lightweight coming in at only 203 grams making it very portable.

Overall, we think the iPhone 14 Plus display is one of its best features especially because it’s brighter and more colorful than previous iPhones and other Android phones available right now.

Camera & Lens

The camera is the iPhone 14 Plus’s biggest improvement over previous models. It has two 12-megapixel lenses on the back that work together to provide crisper images in low light and make it possible to create DSLR-quality bokeh blur effects with just a single lens on the front of the phone.

It also has wide angle Æ’/1.5 lens for better low-light photos, as well as TrueDepth technology for making Augmented Reality much more immersive than ever before. Plus, it has a 12MP selfie camera.

The iPhone 14 Plus offers a wide variety of camera modes that are all so easy to access. You can even create your own filters to make any photo look how you want it! If you love to take selfies or just want the best camera possible in your pocket, this is an excellent choice.

Pictures are sharp and colorful and low-light shots are clear. The photos we captured during our travels were nothing short of jaw-dropping, boasting rich color reproduction, sharp details, and contrast levels that impressed even professionals like us. The camera on this device is one of the best features as it can shoot in 4K resolution at 60 frames per second!

And what good is a camera without a photo editing app? Well, you’ll be glad to know that Apple included their new Clips app which is perfect for on-the-go vloggers!

With only two buttons on the iPhone 14 Plus, it can be tough to figure out how to change settings. Thankfully, Apple provides short videos of all their camera modes so you can see which one works best for your needs! All you have to do is scroll through the Camera menu at the bottom of your screen and then tap on any video to watch it.

These tutorials are extremely helpful, especially if you’re not tech-savvy like me! All said and done, this is an excellent phone with an excellent camera from Apple, and it’s going to take some beating from other manufacturers who want to dethrone them at the top of the smartphone game!

Do you want to upgrade your phone?

If you’re looking for a smartphone that balances size with power, the iPhone 14 Plus is your answer. I currently have an iPhone 8 Plus that has been my go-to device for the past year.

When I was able to review this new iPhone, I went in with an open mind expecting it to be just as good as my current phone. However, when comparing my 8 Plus to the 14 Plus side by side, there were several notable upgrades.

The processor of the iPhone 14 Plus has improved from 3.23 GHz to 4×1.82 GHz which makes everything run faster without any lagging or delay as you may experience on previous models of iPhones.

It also includes the latest version of iOS 16 which includes many updates such as Screen Time to track usage habits, Memoji so users can create their own emojis based on themselves, and Group FaceTime so users can chat with up to 32 people at once!

These are all things that will help me improve myself and make me feel more connected to friends, family, and co-workers. In conclusion, I would recommend the iPhone 14 Plus if you are looking for a larger phone that still has great battery life.

Performance & Software

The iPhone 14 Plus has a slew of new features, most notably its battery life, which easily lasts for more than a day with regular use. The iPhone 14 version is fast, too. It isn’t just a more expensive phone.

It’s a better, more refined device that provides users with access to some of Apple’s best software features. It’s also more intuitive and smarter than before, offering personalized suggestions based on your recent activity. Overall, we’re impressed by the iPhone 14 Plus’ performance and recommend it to anyone looking for a high-end smartphone.

The device launches apps quickly and didn’t freeze or crash during our testing–a rarity among phones. Its water-resistant design makes it much easier to use around the pool or the beach without worrying about damaging it.

It also has a dual camera that takes better photos than previous iPhones, although selfies look best on an iPhone XR or Google Pixel 3 XL. The other downside is that it doesn’t have any headphone jacks, so you’ll need to purchase wireless headphones if you want the convenience of listening to music on your phone wirelessly.

For people who prefer larger screens, the iPhone 14 Plus is a great option. It starts at $1149. 99 USD, making it one of the priciest iPhones on the market. Still, when you consider everything this phone can do, we think it’s worth the price tag.

Premium Value

I have been an iPhone user for a number of years now, I’ve seen the progression of this powerhouse from the 3G all the way to the latest model, however, I was a little skeptical about upgrading to the new iPhone 14 plus.

I just wasn’t sure if it would live up to my expectations and considering the original price tag on this thing $1100+ was a bit much. However, after using it for a week I can tell you that this is without a doubt one of the best iPhone models yet!

The speed at which I can load apps or switch between them is impressive and its battery life is longer than previous models which mean less time spent plugged in. And did I mention the camera? The new iPhone 14 plus camera is phenomenal and has taken some breathtaking shots.

If you are looking for an upgrade then do yourself a favor and buy this phone. It might seem expensive but honestly, it’s worth every penny. You won’t regret your decision.

Speakers & Connectivity

The iPhone 14 Plus has improved speakers, with Dolby Atmos for a far more immersive experience. Speaker volume is less and there is a much better balance between treble, mids, and bass, so the music sounds clearer. However, the dual front-facing speaker system still needs to be louder.

The iPhone 14 plus’ four-speaker design offers an immersive audio experience when playing back music or watching videos, but it still can’t compare to dedicated home theater systems.

The iPhone 14 Plus has Bluetooth 5.3 support, which should provide better connectivity and sound quality. However, this feature wasn’t tested as this phone is not yet available on the market.

Additionally, there are two stereo speakers at the bottom of the device that are better than previous models in terms of clarity and audio detail. As mentioned earlier, though, the iPhone 14 plus could use some improvements in the area of noise cancellation.

Another interesting feature of the iPhone 14 Plus is its USB-C port. Instead of using a lightning cable to charge or transfer files from a computer, you can use a USB-C cable. Overall, the iPhone 14 Plus is a very impressive device and likely one of Apple‘s best updates in recent years.

Battery Life & Charging

The iPhone 14 Plus is designed to maximize battery life while giving you the fastest speeds with its solid-state performance. That being said, the time it takes to charge can take up to 1 hour in some cases.

Fortunately, the device also has a quick charge feature that lets you power up your phone by 50% within a 30-minute time frame. Additionally, you can use this feature as a low-power mode when at 20%.

I’ve been using the iPhone 14 Plus for about 2 days now and I have not had any problems with battery life. The battery life on this phone could not be any better–it lasts all day without having to charge it at all!

I was curious about how much faster it would be compared to my iPhone 8 plus since I’m not very tech savvy but then realized there’s no way of knowing since they’re both Apple devices and both run on iOS so theoretically they should be about the same speed.

Conclusion (Better than its predecessor?)

In terms of performance, the iPhone 14 Plus is better than its predecessor. It’s a tad on the expensive side but it delivers an excellent experience with such features as a state-of-the-art camera and Face ID.

The battery life is good and can last for about 18 hours before needing to be charged again. One downside to this device is that there are no headphone jacks for wired headphones, which means you’ll need to get yourself Bluetooth headphones or buy the AirPods if you want them included in your purchase.

Overall though, this iPhone has many features that will make your life much easier while making your day a little more enjoyable as well!

Final Verdict – Should you buy it?

If you’re an iPhone owner looking for a way to up your game or just want to try something new, the iPhone 14 Plus is a worthy investment. It’s not without its flaws, but overall it’s an excellent device.

The iPhone 14 Plus has many of the same strengths as other iPhone models (great design, easy-to-use interface) with some fantastic upgrades (longer battery life, impressive camera). The only question is whether you need a larger screen.

If you have tiny hands or are coming from a smaller phone, you might find that the iPhone 14 Plus is too big. For most people, though, this will be the perfect upgrade. And if you’ve never owned an iPhone before, now is the time to get one. You won’t regret it!
