This smartphone has several great features that you won’t find in other high-end smartphones on the market today, so this comprehensive review will highlight all of them, from the powerful processor to the long-lasting battery life.

You might have thought the iPhone 14 series was a lot of phones, but Apple had one last trick up its sleeve. And no, we’re not talking about Face ID here; they snuck in some fixes to Siri, too. If you want the best phone Apple has ever made – and one that lasts longer than any iPhone before it – then this is it. 

The iPhone 14 Pro Max offers everything from previous models as well as a few new features. The camera is upgraded with more pixels for better quality photos and videos, though the lack of a flash will be an issue for some users. 

The battery life is also improved thanks to a brand new chip that uses less power for tasks like playing games or streaming video. For those who are always on their phones, this could make all the difference in what time you go to bed at night! 

But if the iPhone 14 Pro Max isn’t exactly your speed, there’re still the iPhone 14 Plus and iPhone 14 pro – which do offer quite as many upgrades but are available at a much lower price point.

Design & Build Quality

The front of the iPhone has seen some changes as well. While the bezels are still about the same size, they have been increased for a higher screen-to-body ratio of 88%. The backside of the device is also where we see a lot of changes. 

Weighing in at just 240g, this is one big piece of tech but I’ve never been happier about carrying around my laptop! The iPhone 14 pro max is available in four colors, Space Black, Silver, Gold, and Deep Purple. 

The phone also features a gorgeous stainless steel frame that comes in a variety of shades to match your Apple Watch or Hermes bracelet. It’s IP68 water resistant so you can take it for a swim or go for a run in light rain without fear of damaging your device.

Apple has managed to fit a lot of things into a small package. The side bezels have been cut in favor of larger top and bottom bezels for improved handling and ease of use with one hand. The power button is now on the right side, just above the volume buttons. 

Face ID works really well and Face ID actually gets faster as you use it more often. However, I found that there were moments when Face ID would stop working until I rebooted my phone. 

Another problem I had was that the iPhone sometimes refused to turn off or turn on without me holding down the power button for a few seconds first. Other than these problems, this is an amazing phone! Even though it is expensive, the features make up for its price. With all of its features and capabilities, this may very well be the perfect iPhone.

Display Quality

The phone features a 6.7-inch edge-to-edge OLED display that fills the front of the phone without any hardware buttons on the face of the device. This makes it perfect for watching videos, scrolling through social media, or catching up on your favorite shows. 

The edge-to-edge display is less distracting than ever with True Tone and auto brightness enabled for your viewing comfort no matter where you are. It’s also compatible with Apple Pencil so you can draw or take notes with ease. 

The iPhone14 Pro Max’s display is rated at 500 nits of brightness, which is incredibly bright for a phone. When watching a video in a dark room, I noticed that it was easier to see than on my other phones. You’ll have no trouble seeing everything because the screen has a large contrast ratio. 

Watching content during the day had an even better experience because there’s more natural light reflecting off of the screen. Photos and videos look sharper than they do on other screens. Colors pop from the screen because of the HDR support. If you’re looking for the best possible mobile gaming experience, this is the phone for you! 

Games like Galaxy Launcher 3 come alive with incredible visuals that take full advantage of the iPhone 14 Pro Max’s high resolution and Retina Display. Games like Despicable Me Shush Doo feel more real than ever before thanks to its advanced graphics engine. 

Viewing photos is also an enjoyable experience since you’ll be able to zoom in much closer and see details that are otherwise not visible on smaller displays. Videos shot with iPhone 14 Pro Max have beautiful colors and crisp images that would make any YouTube viewer jealous. There’s so much to love about the iPhone 14 Pro Max’s display.

Camera & Lens

The iPhone 14 Pro Max has a quad-rear camera which is rare in phones today. It also offers optical image stabilization and true-tone flash. The camera quality is really spectacular. Whether you are taking low-light photos or even ultra-wide shots, you will not be disappointed. 

This phone offers 4K video at up to 60 fps and 1080p video at up to 240 fps as well, making it suitable for professional videography on the go. The iPhone14 Pro Max features a whopping 12MP front-facing camera, making it by far the best camera Apple has offered in a smartphone.

It features a 3D UI, much like Windows 10 3DUI/X-Ray. When using this feature, all of your apps will be transparent and out of the way while you’re running the app. If you want to see what other apps you have open, just swipe up from anywhere on the screen to reveal them as an overlay on top of whatever app is currently in use. 

iPhone 14 Pro Max also comes with iOS 16 installed, which means there are some great new features waiting for you. For example, Siri Shortcuts allow you to set custom phrases to trigger specific actions on your phone – like good morning can change the wallpaper, and launch Spotify. 

You can create triggers based on location, time of day, mode, accessory usage, and more. iPhone 14 Pro Max also includes Screen Time so you can get a better understanding of how much time you spend on your phone throughout the day. 

You’ll get notifications when it’s time to head home if you’ve been working late or need a break from social media, which is awesome! And finally, one of my favorite features: is FaceID with its improved face mapping algorithm and retina scanning technology, FaceID unlocks your iPhone 14 Pro Max in milliseconds every single time – unlike older models where it would take a few seconds (and sometimes fails). 

Overall I think the iPhone 14 Pro Max is a fantastic choice for anyone looking for an upgrade or wanting to experience true power on their device!

Its battery life is as close to perfect as you can get and its cameras are on point without fail. Plus, the speakers sound amazing! The iPhone 14 Pro Max says there are no issues with this phone. The battery life is amazing and they give you so many options on how to use your phone with so many apps and games! It’s just a really fun device! 

I’m going to recommend it to everyone I know because everyone loves iPhones and everyone loves getting new ones. I think you should get one too! One important thing to note about the iPhone 14 Pro Max is that it does not have a headphone jack but rather only offers Bluetooth 5.3 for wireless earbuds. 

The Apple iOS operating system will give you thousands of new apps to enjoy while Face ID gives you complete security against imposters. Overall, the phone is really great. I’ve had an Apple product before, but I’m so glad that I bought this new one now.

Battery life & charging

The first thing that you’ll notice when unboxing the iPhone 14 Pro Max is that it has a fairly large battery. This shouldn’t be too much of a surprise, considering that this particular model is designed for use with virtual reality glasses. It only has 4,323 mAh. 

Thankfully, it doesn’t take very long to charge and can be charged wirelessly so you don’t have to fumble around trying to plug the cable in as you do with the older models. The best part about wireless charging, though, is that it’s universal. 

You can use any Qi-compatible charger without having to worry about whether or not it will work! The iPhone 14 Pro Max also features faster data speeds, which means more time spent browsing the internet and less time waiting for pages to load. 

A high-capacity battery is important if you are buying a VR-capable smartphone. The iPhone 14 Pro Max is one of those phones that has a battery large enough to last an entire day without recharging. 

However, if you plan on using your phone extensively throughout the day – especially when it comes to playing games or watching videos – then there’s a good chance that your battery will die by evening.
