Ten-year-old Perla Alison Found Dead After Four-Day Search in Mexico City

Perla Alison, the ten-year-old girl who went missing last week in the Santa Martha Acatitla neighborhood, has been found dead. Her body was discovered Tuesday evening in an abandoned lot near the Constitución de 1917 metro station, bringing an end to a four-day search that involved both authorities and members of the public across Mexico.

A Routine Trip That Ended in Tragedy

Perla left her home on Friday to buy candy from a nearby shop. When she did not return, her family alerted police, prompting the issuance of a nationwide Amber Alert. Volunteers searched the area, distributed flyers, and shared her image across social media in an effort to find her.

Grim Discovery Near the Metro

On Tuesday, a resident living near a neglected building reported a strong odor and contacted emergency services. Officers from the Secretariat of Citizen Security secured the area, and forensic teams from the Mexico City Attorney General’s Office later recovered the child’s body, which showed signs of violence.

Authorities have opened a femicide investigation.
