Last year, Motorola teased us with the idea of releasing the world’s first 5G smartphone.

And now it has made good on its promise by announcing the world’s first 5G smartphone that will be hitting the market in January 2021; it’s called the Motorola One 5G Ace and it takes some of the best features of its top-tier counterparts and combines them into one device at an affordable price.

Read on to learn more about what this phone has to offer and whether or not it could be right for you!

A Closer Look

The Motorola One 5G Ace is the company’s latest smartphone and it comes with a lot of features that make it a great device for anyone looking for a new handset.

It has a large 6.7-inch display, four cameras on the back, and is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 750 processor. Also, it supports 5G connectivity.

The Motorola One 5G Ace has a large 6.7-inch display with a resolution of 2400 x 1080 pixels. The screen looks vibrant and sharp, with good viewing angles and bright colors.

This means you can use it in direct sunlight and watch videos on it comfortably as well. The display also supports HDR10 content, which makes videos look great.

However, there’s no support for Google’s Widevine DRM so you can’t watch Amazon Prime Video in HD quality.

Underneath, theres a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750 processor paired with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. You can use a microSD card to add more storage if you need to though.

It also comes with a dedicated microSD card slot, which is great for people who like to carry around lots of movies and music on their phones.

There’s no support for 5G speeds but that shouldn’t be too much of an issue since they’re still not widely available yet and when they are, there will likely be limits on data usage anyway.

So at least for now, there won’t be any issues in terms of performance or app compatibility because it supports full HD resolution video streaming at 60 frames per second, which is pretty good for today’s standards as well.

In our review, we’ll go over all the features of the Motorola One 5G Ace and see how it stacks up against other smartphones on the market.

The Price

At $399.99 and also at $249 at a discounted price on amazon, the Motorola One 5G Ace is an affordable option for those looking to get their hands on a 5G smartphone.

Plus, with features like a 48 MP main camera and a Snapdragon 750 processor, this phone is packing some serious power. But is it worth the price? Let’s find out.

Let’s dig into what Motorola has to offer for its $249.99 discounted price tag. First off, we have a 48 MP f/1.7 main camera that shoots detailed photos and videos in low light conditions thanks to dual-pixel technology.

If you’re an avid social media user, you can use depth information from your main camera to get bokeh (background blur) effects when taking selfies or shooting portrait photos with friends.

Next up is our 16MP f/2.2 front camera for any selfie lovers out there! This low-light-friendly camera makes it easy to take self-portraits even in dark settings such as bars and nightclubs without using a flash.

Design & Build Quality

The Motorola One 5G Ace is a sleek and stylish phone. It’s made of aluminum and glass, and it feels solid and premium in the hand. You’ll find a fingerprint sensor on the back that works well enough for the occasional unlock.

When you pick up this device, you will notice how light it is; coming in at just 170 grams with a thickness of 8mm and overall dimensions of 6 x 4 x 2 inches with a 6-inch display.

The Motorola One 5G Ace also has an IP68 rating for water resistance (up to 1 meter). The dual-camera system on the back consists of two 12MP sensors; one color while the other shoots monochrome images.

What sets Motorola apart is its excellent design, resulting in a device that looks premium. It’s one of my favorite-looking phones and I have enjoyed using it so far.

Other things that Motorola has put a lot of effort into, are both its software and performance. Motorola is using stock Android and it also opted for an in-display fingerprint sensor instead of one on the back.

Design-wise, I don’t mind having a scanner on the front since it offers better usability when you’re unlocking your phone with one hand.

The Display

The Motorola One 5G Ace features a 6.7-inch FHD+ display with a resolution of 1080 x 2400 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9. It’s all housed in an aluminum unibody design that has a very high build quality and is sleek to the touch.

Motorola offers one of the best displays on any smartphone, let alone in this price range. It also has HDR10+ certification for some really vibrant colors that pop off the screen.

The AMOLED display ensures you’ll have great viewing angles too, plus it looks stunning from up close thanks to the tiny bezels surrounding it on all sides save for where Motorola placed its front camera, earpiece, and sensors for gesture control below the notch area at the top.

Motorola offers one of my favorite displays on any smartphone, but even that can’t outshine everything else that makes up its new phone.

It’s not just the amazing experience I get when watching films or videos on it – that would be enough for me, as I love cinematic content.

There are so many things about the Motorola One 5G Ace review, so if you’re looking for a new device then take your time and go through our Motorola One 5G Ace review!

Camera Quality

The Motorola One 5G Ace has a triple rear camera system. It’s made up of a 48-megapixel main sensor, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide angle shooter, and a 2-megapixel macro lens. There’s also a 16-megapixel selfie camera on the front.

In terms of photo quality, the Motorola One 5G Ace is a mixed bag. In good lighting conditions, the main sensor is capable of taking some great shots.

The colors are accurate and the level of detail is impressive. Low-light performance is decent as well, thanks to the Night Vision mode.

However, there are some issues with the ultra-wide-angle camera. Shots were taken with it often look washed out and lack detail.

In terms of video recording, you get 4K at 30 fps for both front and rear cameras. While there’s no electronic stabilization available on any sensors, video quality is decent overall.

Color accuracy is good, with decent details and contrast levels in daylight. In low-light conditions, the footage shows a lot of noise, but again thanks to Night Vision mode you can still produce some solid results.

Battery life is good but not too good in my testing period with the Motorola One 5G Ace.

With heavy usage including constantly streaming music over LTE, shooting a couple of photos every now and then, and with multiple social media apps running in the background, I consistently got around 9 hours of screen-on time before needing to plug it back in for more power.

Software & Performance

The Motorola One 5G Ace is a great smartphone. It has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 750 processor, which is powerful and efficient.

Plus, it has 6GB of RAM and 128GB and also 4GB and 64GB of storage. So, you can expect smooth performance and plenty of space for your apps and files.

The screen is bright and has a resolution of 2,400 x 1,080 pixels, which is slightly lower than most other phones in its price range. But you’ll still be able to view videos and other content in high definition, even outdoors on a sunny day.

The phone runs Android 10 with Motorola’s user interface layered on top. It also has Motorola’s Moto app store instead of Google Play.

Motorola One 5G ACE has dual cameras on both front and back. On the back, you have a main 48-megapixel sensor with an aperture of f/1.7, phase detection autofocus, and optical image stabilization (OIS).

On the front, you have a 12-megapixel sensor with an aperture of f/2.2, autofocus, and a 2x lossless zoom with software interpolation.

The cameras are pretty good overall if you don’t zoom too much and you keep your expectations in check.

In other words, they’re not going to give you Galaxy S10 Plus level quality or Pixel 3 pictures but they also don’t disappoint or look particularly bad when it comes to most situations.

Value & Features

The Motorola One 5G Ace is a great value for a 5G smartphone. It has a large display, a powerful processor, and a long-lasting battery. Plus, it has a fast-charging feature that allows you to charge your phone quickly.

The camera is also very good, with dual rear cameras and a front-facing camera that can take clear pictures and videos. Overall, the Motorola One 5G Ace is a great choice for anyone looking for a good value 5G smartphone.

The Motorola One 5G Ace offers lots of value for a mid-range smartphone. It also has three cameras on its back and front, allowing you to take great pictures.

Finally, it supports fast charging technology that will allow you to charge your phone quickly when you’re in a hurry.

If you’re interested in buying a Motorola One 5G Ace, check out Amazon directly and buy this flagship at a discounted price.

Remember, Motorola One 5G Ace is an unlocked version, so if you are traveling abroad or just need a second line you can easily use another carrier without having to worry about contracts or roaming charges.

Battery life

The Motorola One 5G Ace has great battery life. It comes with 5,000mAh battery life. I was able to use it for a full day without having to recharge.

Even with heavy use, the phone only needed to be charged once every two days. And when I did need to charge it, the phone only took about an hour to fully charge.

The Motorola One 5G Ace also has a very efficient battery management system. The phone will automatically disable certain features when they’re not being used in order to conserve power.

For example, the always-on display will turn off when the phone is inactive for a period of time. And when you’re not using GPS, the phone will automatically switch to using cell towers instead.

There’s also a power-saving mode that can extend your battery life even further. With it activated, you’ll be able to access only essential features and apps until your phone recharges enough to use them again.

You can also turn on ‘turbocharging’ which will allow you to use some more battery-hungry features for shorter periods without having to wait as long to recharge your phone.

All in all, I was very impressed with how well optimized the Motorola One 5G Ace is for battery usage. I never had a problem using it all day and into the night without needing a charge.

Heat

When it comes to gaming, the Motorola One 5G Ace really shines. It’s got a great processor that can handle even the most demanding games, and the graphics are top-notch.

Plus, the large screen is perfect for immersive gaming experiences. I did notice that the battery drains a bit faster when gaming, but overall I was very impressed with the phone’s performance and no heat at all.

If you’re looking for a great 5G smartphone for gaming, the Motorola One 5G Ace is definitely worth considering.

Thanks to its excellent performance and innovative features, I have a hard time seeing how anyone could be disappointed with the Motorola One 5G Ace.

While it might not have all of the bells and whistles that more expensive smartphones offer, it’s still an excellent value for such a low price.

Overall Verdict – Should You Buy It?

The Motorola One 5G Ace is a great smartphone if you’re looking for a device that can connect to a 5G network. It’s fast, has a great camera, and is affordably priced.

However, there are a few drawbacks. First, the battery life could be better. Second, the phone doesn’t come with a headphone jack.

And finally, the display isn’t as crisp as some other smartphones on the market. But overall, the Motorola One 5G Ace is a great option for anyone looking for a budget-friendly 5G smartphone.

With an excellent camera, sleek design, and fantastic performance for everyday use, you won’t regret buying a Motorola One 5G Ace. However, if you want better battery life or a headphone jack on your phone, then you might want to consider a different device.

The Samsung Galaxy A13 5G is another great option as it comes with a headphone jack and offers longer battery life than most other smartphones out there.

In addition to that, it has one of the best cameras and performance of any smartphone at a similar price point.

If price is your primary concern though—which it likely is if you’re looking at entry-level devices—then go for the Motorola One 5G Ace. It’s one of the cheapest options out there that support 5G speeds.
