“He told me you were confused.”
Trevor looked down.
“I remember you teaching me to drive.”
“You stalled five times.”
“Four.”
“Five.”
He smiled.
Then it disappeared.
“I remember what happened before you left.”
My hand stopped.
“What?”
“Dad was angry.”
“Yes.”
“He said you were choosing the Army over him.”
“I chose the Army.”
Trevor nodded.
