“You’re carrying the folder.”
“It’s gala material.”
She moved toward the door.
“Victoria.”
She stopped.
“How long has the company been working with Vance?”
“Since spring.”
Then she left.
Arthur watched the door.
“That was not a routine answer.”
“No.”
I looked at the invoices.
“Find out who requested the work, who approved it, and where the money moved before it reached her.”
Arthur wrote each question down.
Then added:
“Include Sterling funds?”
That was the question I had been avoiding.
If Sterling money appeared in the trail, I could no longer pretend I was merely checking my husband’s bookkeeping.
