In a lot of ways, it reminds me of Samsung’s AMOLED displays—except without any notch issues whatsoever (more on that later).

It may take some getting used to before it becomes natural, but I think it works better than having multiple buttons for various actions. Android 12 runs smoothly on Xiaomi’s 12S Ultra.
There’s no bloatware to be found and apps open quickly. I did notice that some pre-installed apps took a while to load, but that was an anomaly.
For example, it took a few seconds for Xiaomi’s music app to load when I first opened it and then around 20 seconds before music controls appeared in its interface. Overall, I didn’t have any major issues with software performance.
Camera Quality
The Xiaomi 12S Ultra is a great phone if you’re looking for something with a good camera. It’s a 50-megapixel sensor with 1.4-micron pixels and an f/1.9 aperture.
There’s also a secondary 48-megapixel Ultra-Wide camera with an f/2.2 aperture for depth sensing. The front-facing camera is a 32-megapixel sensor with an f/2.4 aperture.
Despite being such a great camera, it doesn’t beat out some of its competition. Compared to other high-end phone cameras, like Apple’s iPhone 13 Pro or Samsung’s Galaxy S22 Plus, it falls behind on focus time and also video recording quality.
Overall though, if you’re looking for a good phone with an incredible camera then you should look no further than Xiaomi’s latest and greatest.

In my testing, I was able to get over a day’s worth of use out of it with moderate to heavy use. It even managed to last around 10 hours while streaming an HD video on loop over a Bluetooth speaker at maximum volume.
As for charging time, Xiaomi says you can get a full charge in just 1 hour with its included charger. In my experience, that was true.
From around 10% battery life to fully charged takes just nearly 1 hour, which is impressive compared to many other phones I’ve used that take anywhere from 3-5 hours to charge fully.
Heat
One of the best features of the Xiaomi 12S Ultra is its heat resistance. I’ve never had a phone that could withstand the heat as this one can. It’s amazing! Plus, the battery life is incredible. I can’t say enough good things about this phone.
