The Place Where Everything Began
I knew immediately that Skylar had sent them. “This property belongs to me, so who gave you permission to be here?”
The man shifted his weight and looked at his clipboard. “We were told by your sister that this was a family holding.”
“It’s just a preliminary inspection,” he added. I crossed my arms and stared them down.
“Then you can preliminarily get off my land before I call the local sheriff,” I told them. They exchanged a quick glance and headed back to their vehicle.
I went back inside and slammed the door. My anger was boiling over, because she was already sending people to trespass on my land.
I called my mother immediately. “Mom, did you know Skylar sent realtors to my cabin this morning?”
