Fox News beat its other cable news networks in October by providing 98 of the top 100 cable news broadcasts for the month.

FOX News Channel (FNC) secured a massive victory

According to Nielsen Media Research, in October 2022, Fox News Channel (FNC) maintained its position as the leading cable news network for the 20th consecutive month in total daily viewers.

Compared to rivals CNN and MSNBC, Fox News also dominated in total daytime and primetime ratings, as well as in the important A25-54 demographic, for the 15th straight month. This means complete dominance over their competitors while MSNBC and CNN struggled to keep up.

With 98 of the top 100 cable news broadcasts in October 2022, Fox News Channel (FNC) maintained its dominant position in the industry. The only cable news network to see an overall increase in viewers was FNC. A total of 1.5 million people watched FNC during the day, including 206,000 people aged 25–54 and 124,000 people in the 18–49 age range. With 2.3 million primetime viewers, 295,000 were in the 25–54 age range and 180,000 were in the 18–49 age range. By comparison, CNN’s prime-time ratings in 2022 had its worst month ever. More independents and Democrats chose FNC as their favorite daytime and primetime network in the A25-54 demographic than MSNBC and CNN, according to Nielsen MRI Fusion, making FNC the most-watched network across the political spectrum.

In all-day viewers, FNC ranked first among cable news networks among Hispanic and Asian households. With 2,159,000 P2+ and 337,000 viewers A25-54, “Gutfeld! was once again one of the highlights of the month, continuing to make television history with its second highest-rated month ever. The broadcast, which aired at 11:00 PM/ET, also beat every program on CNN and MSNBC in terms of viewers and A25-54.

During October, Tucker Carlson Tonight averaged 3.3 million viewers, 470,000 viewers in the 25-54 demographic, and 295,000 viewers in the 18-49 demographic, making it the top-rated cable news program for the younger audience of 25 – 54 years old.

“Hannity was seen by more than 2.7 million people at 9:00 p.m./ET, 344,000 in the 25-54 audience and 206,000 among adults 18-49, ranking it as the fourth-most-watched program overall and beating out competition from MSNBC and CNN combined.

“Alex Wagner Tonight, the recently introduced 9:00 PM/ET program on MSNBC, had its worst month ever with just 1,425,000 views and 134,000 viewers in the 25-54 demographic, and CNN’s Jake Tapper’s 9:00 PM hour had averaged just 691,000 viewers and 15,000 A. -54 viewers. Ingraham remained the most-watched woman in cable news with 2.2 million viewers for The Ingraham Angle at 10 p.m./ET, including 292,000 in the 25-54 market and 171,000 in the 18-49 age group, according to Fox News.

In October 2022, according to Nielsen ratings for a seven-day period with live and same-day viewership (L+SD),
Fox News Channel (FNC) had 1.48 million total viewers, a 5% increase from October 2021, but a decrease of 10% in the 25-54 age demographic.
CNN had 533,000 total viewers, up 9% from the previous year, with a 3% increase in the 25-54 age demographic.
MSNBC had 751,000 total viewers, up 10% from October 2021, with a 1% increase in the 25-54 age demographic.

During the prime time in October 2022,
FNC had 2.29 million total viewers, a 1% decrease from the previous year, with a 15% decline in the 25-54 age demographic.
CNN had 624,000 total viewers, down 6% from the previous year, with a 3% decrease in the 25-54 age demographic.
MSNBC had 1.17 million total viewers, down 2% from the previous year, with a 20% decrease in the 25-54 age demographic.
