Introduction & Unboxing

The Google Pixel Buds Pro is the company’s newest true wireless earbuds. They were announced at the same time as the Google Pixel 6A and Google Nest Audio, and they’re available in four colors: White, Oh So Orange, Quite Mint, and Almost Black.

The earbuds themselves are made of plastic and have an IPX4 rating for sweat and water resistance. There is a three-button control module on one side that has a built-in microphone to take calls or talk to Google Assistant.

The other side has a button to turn on the earbuds and activate your assistant if you don’t want to use voice commands, plus two volume buttons.

The Pixel Buds Pros also come with two cables, which is a pretty rare accessory these days. One is flat so it can be tucked away when not in use; the other is rounder so it can be worn like a necklace when not plugged into your phone or carried around in your pocket/bag/etc.

I personally prefer this cord because I hate how tangled my wires get. The first thing I noticed about the Google Pixel Buds Pro was how lightweight they are compared to Apple AirPods Pro.

You barely feel them once they’re in your ears, which is amazing because those suckers get heavy after long periods of use! The second thing I noticed was the sound quality. The Google Pixel Buds Pro sound way better than their price point would suggest. Let’s dive into the full review of it.

Pricing

The Google Pixel Buds Pro is priced at $199.99. For that price, you get a pair of earbuds, a charging case, three sets of ear tips, and a USB-C cable. When it comes to sound quality, the Google Pixel Buds Pro does not disappoint. In fact, they provide an excellent listening experience in most cases.

They’re also surprisingly durable considering their size and weight. The Google Pixel Buds Pro provides an excellent listening experience with great audio clarity and noise isolation.

All in all, if you’re looking for a good set of earbuds on a budget then these should be one of your top choices.

Design, Comfort, And Fit

From the moment you open the case, it’s clear that Google put a lot of thought into the design of the Pixel Buds Pro. The earbuds themselves are sleek and minimalist, with a smooth matte finish that feels great to the touch.

The charging case is equally well-designed, with a USB-C port for easy charging and a magnetic lid that keeps the earbuds securely in place. There’s also an additional button on the back of the case that lets you easily trigger Google Assistant without taking your phone out of your pocket or bag.

These earbuds are extremely comfortable. I was able to wear them for hours without having any issues. They fit snugly in my ears and didn’t fall out, even when I was sweating. The ear tips are made of a soft material that is comfortable to wear.

I was also able to use these headphones with glasses on, which is often a struggle with other models. However, one minor complaint is that if you use silicone tips instead of the included Comply foam tips, they will be difficult to remove from their sockets after each use—and even more difficult if your fingers are wet or greasy.

A second concern is that while the battery life itself is fairly good, Google only provides three sets of replacement ear tips and two sets of replacement Comply foam tips in the box. If you lose those or happen to misplace them (like I did), there’s no way to replace them yourself.

Specifications

The Google Pixel Buds Pro is the company’s latest attempt at truly wireless earbuds, and they’re very good. They’re not perfect, but they’re a huge step up from the original Pixel Buds. The Google Pixel Buds Pro is 1.97 x 0.98 x 2.49 inches and weighs just 2.2 ounces.

They’re available in Just Black, Clearly White, Kinda Blue, and Peach & Coral colors. Connectivity Features If you’re on Android, that means these are Bluetooth headphones for you — great news for iOS users who don’t like Apple’s AirPods design or to try something new from Google!

The biggest change is the new design, which is much more comfortable and stable in your ear. The sound quality is also much improved, with better bass and more detailed highs.

Google Assistant integration has been expanded to include custom commands for specific tasks like turning on airplane mode or calling an Uber ride.

These are truly great wireless headphones that can do everything you need them to do – just don’t expect too much out of their ambient noise cancellation feature.

Sound Quality

The Google Pixel Buds Pro sound amazing. I was really impressed with the audio quality. They have great range and clarity. The bass is deep and rich, and the highs are crisp and clear.

The mids are well-balanced, too. I was really able to hear all the details in the music I was listening to. These headphones are also very comfortable and light.

I wore them for over four hours straight without any discomfort or issues. One more thing that makes these wireless earbuds so great is that they’re waterproof!

You can use them while you’re out running in the rain or working out at the gym without worrying about damaging them. It’s a feature that other wireless earbuds don’t offer. The Google Pixel Buds Pro has many features that make it one of the best wireless earbuds on the market today.

Noise-Cancellation

Google’s newest addition to its audio lineup is the Google Pixel Buds Pro. These earbuds come with some amazing features, including noise-cancellation.

This feature is great for blocking out unwanted sounds and really helps you focus on what you’re listening to. And, with three different levels of noise-cancellation, you can customize just how much sound you want to be blocked out.

Plus, Google Assistant integration lets you control your music or send texts hands-free with simple voice commands. With so many features in one set of earbuds, it’s no wonder that the Google Pixel Buds Pro has made these buds one of our top picks!

If you’re looking for an all-inclusive package from a company that knows audio, this may be the pair of earbuds for you.

Audio Quality

The Google Pixel Buds Pro is the company’s latest true wireless earbuds, and they come with a lot of new features and improvements. One of the most important parts of any pair of earbuds is the audio quality, so let’s take a detailed look at how the Pixel Buds Pro sound.

First, we’ll start with Google Assistant. All you have to do is hold down on either bud for two seconds and say Ok Google to activate it. It will then ask what you want to know or ask you what you want it to do.

Google Assistant can also be activated by saying Hey Google which does not require holding anything down. However, this method does not work well in noisy environments like coffee shops or crowded streets where there is a lot of background noise competing with your voice.

So if you’re going to use Google Assistant more often than not when using these earbuds, the more accurate way to activate it is by pressing one of the buds and waiting for Google Assistant to say hello.

If you’re looking for an answer from Google but don’t know exactly what you’re looking for, all you need to do is tap and hold on to one of the buds until you hear a tone letting you know that Google will be ready to give an answer as soon as possible.

You can scroll through results by swiping left or right. You can even play music or podcasts from Google Play Music, Spotify, YouTube Music, and other third-party apps that support Google Cast just by asking Google Assistant to play them through the earbuds.

Google Assistant will also tell you how much battery life is remaining for both the earbuds and their case. As far as sound quality goes, people who tested out the Google Pixel Buds Pro found that they sounded really good overall.

Functionality

The Google Pixel Buds Pro is the company’s first true wireless earbuds with active noise cancellation (ANC). They look and feel a lot like the AirPods Pro, but there are some key differences.

For one, the Pixel Buds have a unique spatial vent design that allows for more airflow and less pressure in your ear. This results in a much more comfortable listening experience, even for long periods of time.

The earbuds also feature adjustable EQ settings so you can customize the sound to your liking. And unlike the AirPods Pro, the Pixel Buds come with a charging case that supports wireless charging.

When it’s fully charged, the case will provide up to 24 hours of playback. You don’t need any additional equipment or cables—just drop them into the battery case when they’re running low on power and go!

The Google Pixel Buds Pro comes with a USB-C cable, which is perfect if you’re already invested in the Google ecosystem. However, it would be nice if Google had included an adapter for older devices as well.

Battery Life & Charging Case

The Google Pixel Buds Pro comes with a charging case that will give you 24 hours of battery life. The earbuds themselves have a 11-hour battery life, and the case charges via USB-C.

You can also get quick charging, which will give you an hour of listening time after just 10 minutes in the case. Your Google Assistant is always on hand to help with your questions. Just tap on the right earbud for some light talk about your day, ask for directions, or set reminders, among other things.

It’s time to move past wires and start enjoying your music wirelessly. With a clean sound, discreet charging case, great battery life, and Google Assistant integration, these are among some of our favorite earbuds on today’s market.

Google Pixel Buds Pro VS AirPods Pro

When it comes to wireless earbuds, there are two that always come to mind: Google Pixel Buds Pro and AirPods Pro. But which one is better? Here’s a detailed look at both, so you can decide for yourself.

This image shows the charging cases.

The Google Pixel Buds Pros are designed with in-ear fitting, meaning they’re made to fit inside your ears like regular headphones.

They use the same technology as Google Home devices by having Google Assistant built-in. With just a touch or a squeeze on the right earbud, you can play or pause music, check the time, answer phone calls, or get information from Google Assistant (like weather forecasts).

AirPods Pros have an easy-access control panel on the outside of each AirPod Pro where you can adjust the volume or change songs without ever taking your phone out of your pocket or purse.

Each AirPod Pro also has accelerometers and optical sensors, enabling gesture controls such as double tapping to skip tracks or swiping forward or backward. You can even talk to Siri while wearing them!

Another downside is that Google Pixel Buds Pros can only connect to one device at a time. If you already own Google Home products, this isn’t much of an issue because those speakers will automatically switch over to Google Assistant if someone else tries to make a call.

If not, however, this limitation might be difficult for many users. As far as battery life goes, Google Pixel Buds Pros last 11 hours on a single charge. AirPods Pros also last 7 hours on a single charge.

However, Google Pixel Buds Pros take about 15 minutes to fully charge back up again. In my opinion, Pixel Pros provide a little bit more value for the money.

They cost $199 versus AirPods Pros costing $249, and Pixel Pros have longer battery life plus better noise cancellation than AirPods  Pros.

I would recommend AirPods Pro for the best overall experience. It’s possible Google Pixel Buds Pros could become better with future updates. For now, though, AirPods Pro provides more bang for your buck.

Final Verdict – Should You Buy It?

If you’re looking for a top-of-the-line pair of earbuds with great sound quality, the Google Pixel Buds Pro is definitely worth considering. Although they’re not cheap, their features and specifications justify the price tag.

They can be used as Bluetooth h headphones or as wired earbuds that connect to your phone via a USB C port on your device. You’ll never have to worry about charging them since they come with 24-hour battery life.

They also feature an ergonomic design that’s easy to wear and remove from your ears. Google Assistant is built into these buds, which makes it easier to control music playback and make calls without taking out your phone.

Google Assistant works in both languages – English and Spanish – so no matter what language you speak, it will always understand what you want to do with these earbuds.

After all this detailed review, I’m certain that if you’re looking for a pair of wireless earbuds with great audio quality, Google Pixel Buds Pro should be at the top of your list.
