“Where did it go?”
“That is the part I don’t like.”
He turned the third statement toward me.
The receiving account carried a Vance Enterprises designation.
But the account number was not one I recognized.
“Was Julian authorized to use it?”
“Not through Sterling.”
The answer changed the room.
The lake-lot proceeds were supposed to replenish a reserve account.
They had not.
No reimbursement.
No tax payment.
No property expense.
No vendor charge.
