A disturbing case involving a teenage girl has been reported in recent days in the Lucas do Rio Verde region of Mato Grosso, Brazil, drawing strong attention from local authorities and the public.
The victim, identified as 15-year-old Yasmin Estefânia Alves Ribeiro, was known in her local area and had reportedly received online threats prior to her disappearance, according to early reports shared by investigators.

Her body was later discovered in a remote, hard-to-access area, according to statements from local police. The discovery led to widespread shock in the community and intensified the ongoing investigation.
Officials also reported that two individuals suspected of involvement were arrested. Preliminary information suggests the suspects may be linked to a local criminal group, though investigations are still ongoing to establish the full circumstances surrounding the case.
A police spokesperson described the discovery in an official statement, noting that the victim was found in a wooded area of the Tessele Júnior neighborhood. Authorities have since been working to collect evidence and reconstruct the events leading up to her death.
